This study analyzed the cultural value and importance of preserving the bow through literature research, confirming its historical background, philosophical value, and role as cultural heritage. Field investigations were conducted to examine the preservation and transmission of Gukgung cultural heritage based on exhibitions and related materials. First, the study identified the cultural and philosophical significance of archery in Korean traditional culture and the importance of preserving it. Second, it confirmed that the Yecheon and Bucheon Archery Museums play key roles in transmitting the techniques and philosophy of archery to future generations. Third, the study highlighted the need to reinterpret traditional archery values in a modern context and emphasized the necessity of educational and cultural programs for its preservation. Fourth, it called for research on the educational value and impact of archery and proposed directions for developing archery cultural content.

본 연구는 활의 문화적 가치와 보존의 중요성을 분석하기 위해 문헌 연구를 통해 활의 역사적 배경, 철학적 가치, 문화유산으로서의 의미를 확인하였다. 또한, 현장 조사를 통해 전시와 관련 자료를 바탕으로 국궁 문화유산의 보존과 전승에 관한 사례를 살펴보았다. 첫째, 활(활쏘기)의 문화적 가치와 보존의 중요성, 한국 전통문화의 정신적, 철학적 의미를 확인할 수 있었다. 둘째, 예천 활박물관과 부천 활박물관은 활의 기술과 철학을 후세에 전하는 중요한 역할을 하고 있음을 확인하였다. 셋째, 활 의 보존과 발전을 위해 활의 전통적 가치를 현대적으로 재조명하고 교 육·문화 프로그램의 필요성에 대해 제시하였다. 넷째, 활의 교육적 가 치와 효과를 분석하고. 이를 바탕으로 활 문화콘텐츠의 발전 방향을 제 시하는 연구가 필요하다.
