This study is to identify the factors influence South Korean womenʼs perspectives on marriage, particularly the impact of gender role attitudes and the acceptance of family diversity. Data were drawn from the ninth wave (2023) of the Women and Family Panel Survey, which was conducted by the Korean Women's Development Institute, and targeted 9,055 women aged 19 to 64. The data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0, employing frequencies, percentages, means, standard deviations, and hierarchical regression analysis. The main findings of the study are as follows. First, analysis of gender role attitudes, acceptance of family diversity, and views on marriage revealed that gender role attitudes were above the median score of 2.5, indicating a relatively high level of awareness regarding gender equality. In contrast, acceptance level of diverse family structures was slightly below the median, suggesting relatively low tolerance for non-traditional family forms. Attitudes toward marriage were slightly above the median. Second, age, educational attainment, marital status, gender role attitudes, and acceptance of family diversity were found to significantly influence women's views on marriage. Age emerged as the most influential variable, indicating clear generational differences in perceptions of marriage. Specifically, older women tended to hold more traditional views, while lower educational attainment, being married, low acceptance of family diversity, and conservative gender role attitudes were also associated with more traditional views on marriage. In contrast, household income did not have a statistically significant effect on marriage perspectives.

본 연구의 목적은 한국 여성의 결혼관에 영향을 미치는 주요 요인을 규명하는데 있다. 특히 성역할 태도와 가족다양성 수용 수준이 결혼관에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 중심으로 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 한국여성정책연구원의 여성가족패널조사 9차년도(2023년) 자료가 사용되었으며, 9차 웨이브 총 성공 개인수 만19세∼64세의 9,055명이 본 연구의 대상이다. 본 연구를 위해 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구문제를 분석하기 위해 빈도, 백분율, 평균, 표준편차, 위계적 회귀분석을 사용하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 본 연구에서 한국여성의 성역할 태도, 가족 다양성 수용, 결혼관의 수준을 분석한 결과 성역할 태도는 성역할에 대한 평등한 인식이 중앙값 2.5점 보다 높은 수준으로 나타나 우리사회의 성평등 인식 수준이 다소 높은 수준임을 알 수 있다. 가족의 다양성 수용 수준은 중앙값 2.5점 보다는 낮게 나타나 다양한 가족의 형태에 대한 수용 수준이 다소 낮음을 알 수 있다. 결혼관은 중앙값 2.5점 보다 약간 높게 나타난 것으로 확인할 수 있다. 둘째, 연령, 학력수준, 결혼상태, 성역할 태도, 가족 다양성 수용도가 한국 여성의 결혼관에 유의한 영향을 미치는 변인으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과, 연령이 한국 여성의 결혼관에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 변인임을 확인하였으며, 이는 세대 간 결혼관 차이가 뚜렷함을 의미한다. 구체적으로 연령이 높을수록 전통적인 결혼관을 더 강하게 지니고 있었고, 학력 수준이 낮고, 기혼상태이 고, 가족 다양성 수용도가 낮으며 성역할 태도가 보수적일수록 전통적 결혼관이 높게 나타났다. 반면 가구소득은 결혼관에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았다.
