This study explores the unique harmony between Bach’s style and elements of Brazilian music as manifested in Heitor Villa-Lobos’s Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5, examining its potential as foundational material for contemporary music research and education. The purpose of the study is to analyze the ways in which the Baroque musical characteristics of Bach are fused with Brazilian musical elements, highlighting the significance of this work in music education. The findings reveal that Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5 forms an original musical language by transforming Bach’s musical elements and combining them with Brazilian music, demonstrating the interaction between traditional and modern, as well as European and Latin American music. This study provides foundational material for future research and suggests applications in music education and performance practice.

본 연구는 빌라 로보스(Heitor Villa-Lobos)의 《Bachianas Brasileiras No.5》에 나타난 바흐 스 타일과 브라질 음악 요소 간의 독특한 조화를 탐구하며, 이를 현대 음악 연구 및 교육에서 활용할 수 있는 기초자료로서의 가능성을 검토한다. 연구의 목적은 바흐의 바로크 음악적 특성과 브라질 음악 요소가 융합된 방식을 분석하고, 이 작품이 음악교육에서 가지는 의의 를 조명하는 것이다. 연구 결과, 《Bachianas Brasileiras No.5》는 바흐의 음악적 요소를 변형 하여 브라질 음악과 결합함으로써 독창적인 음악 언어를 형성하였으며, 이는 전통과 현대, 유럽과 라틴 아메리카 음악 간의 상호작용을 보여준다. 본 연구는 후속 연구를 위한 기초 자 료를 제공하며, 음악교육 및 연주 실습에서의 적용 가능성을 제안한다.
