This study aims to examines the impact of career stress and career attitude maturity on the intention to continue in the major of university students majoring in acting, and to identify the degree of career attitude maturity and career stress in order to suggest measure that can help maintain a positive and resilient future for the performance industry. A total of 102 valid responses were used for analysis, excluding 3 invalid responses. The survey data were processed using ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) and T-test for the final statistical analysis. The results obtained from the research process are as follows: First, career attitude maturity (β = .53, p < .001) had a positive effect on the intention to continue the major. This indicates that having a clear sense of career direction and an active attitude strengthens the willingness to persist in one’s major. Second, career stress (β = –.27, p < .01) had a negative effect on the intention to continue the major, suggesting that pressure and anxiety arising during the career preparation process weaken the motivation to maintain one’s major. Taken together, these results show that higher levels of career attitude maturity in acting-major university students are associated with stronger intentions to continue their major, whereas higher levels of career stress are associated with weaker intentions. These findings suggest that a project-based learning (PBL) approach could have a forward-looking effect in clarifying students’ career goals. This study was conducted exclusively with acting major students located in provincial areas, which limits the generalizability of the findings to the entire population of acting major students nationwide, including those in the metropolitan area.

본 연구는 연기전공 대학생들의 진로 스트레스와 진로 태도 성숙이 전공 지속 의사에 미치는 영향을 검토해 공연계의 미래를 긍정적이고 탄력적인 형태를 유지할 수 있도록 대학생들의 진로 태도 성숙과 진로 스트레스의 정도를 파악하고 방안을 제시하는 것에 목적이 있다. 따라서 연기전공 대학생 105명을 대상으로 일반적 특성(성별, 나이, 학교, 학년, 경력)을 파악하고, 진로 스트레스와 진로 태도 성숙이 전공 지속 의사에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 충남에 위치한 S대학과 C대학의 연기학과와 뮤지컬학과를 대상으로 온라인 설문을 실시하였으며 105명의 학생이 설문에 참여하였고 3부를 제외한 총 102부의 설문지를 분석하였다. 최종 통계 분석에 사용된 102부의 설문 데이터를 기초하여 ANOVA(Analysis of Variance) 프로그램과 T-test를 활용해 자료를 처리하였다. 이와 같은 연구 방법 절차를 통해 얻은 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 진로 태도 성숙(β=.53, p<.001)은 전공 지속 의사에 정(+)적인 영향을 미친다. 이는 진로 방향성에 명확한 목표 의식과 적극적인 태도를 지닐수록 전공을 계속 이어가려는 의지가 강화되는 것을 의미한다. 둘째, 진로 스트레스(β=-.27, p<.01)는 전공 지속 의사에 부(╶)적인 영향을 미친다. 이는 진로 준비 과정 중 생기는 압박감과 불안이 전공을 지속하고자 하는 의지를 약화시키는 것을 의미한다. 이상의 결과를 종합해 보면, 연기전공 대학생의 진로 태도 성숙은 수준이 높을수록 전공 지속 의사가 높아지는 긍정적 영향을 나타내며, 진로 스트레스가 높을수록 전공 지속 의사가 낮아지는 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 프로젝트 기반의 ‘PBL(Project-Based Learning)’ 접근법이 전공생들의 목표 의식을 명확히 하는 데 전향적인 효과를 불러올 것을 보여준다. 본 연구는 지방에 소재한 연기전공 대학생만을 대상으로 하였기 때문에 연구 결과를 수도권을 포함한 전국의 연기전공 대학생 집단으로 일반화하는 데 한계가 있다.
