British tea culture is a multidimensional cultural phenomenon that intersects with diverse discourses such as imperialism, class identity, consumer industry, and women’s everyday life. Although academic interest in this topic has gradually increased in Korea, most studies remain focused on individual subjects, making it difficult to capture the overall flow and structure of the research field. This calls for a quantitative and systematic approach to analyzing accumulated studies. This study collected and analyzed 60 academic works on British tea culture published in Korea from 1997 to the first half of 2025. The collected literature was categorized by publication year, journal type, and research format. The study further analyzed thematic categories, keyword frequency, co-occurrence patterns, and cluster structures. Keywords were manually coded, and 85 core terms that appeared at least three times were selected for word cloud generation and semantic network analysis. A CONCOR (Convergence of Iterated Correlations) analysis was then conducted to derive inter-conceptual associations and visualize the positions of conceptual hubs and peripheral terms within the research structure. The analysis identified six major thematic types: aristocracy-oriented, imperialism-oriented, industrial history-oriented, women-centered, media/content-based, and comparative cultural. The most central keywords were “Afternoon Tea,” “Imperialism,” “Industry,” “Women,” and “Blending,” while terms such as “Emotion,” “Space,” and “Silverware” were found to be isolated and weakly connected. The CONCOR analysis revealed four conceptual clusters: aristocracy–women, imperialism, industrial economy, and content–affective culture. By structuring the research landscape of British tea culture studies in Korea using quantitative and visual methods, this study offers a foundational framework for future interdisciplinary cultural analysis and comparative cultural education development.

영국 차문화는 제국주의, 계층 문화, 소비산업, 여성 일상성 등 다양한 담론과 연결되며 복 합적인 분석을 요구하는 문화현상이다. 국내에서도 관련 연구가 점차 축적되고 있으나, 개별 주제 단위 에 머무는 경우가 많아 연구 전체의 흐름과 구조를 조망할 수 있는 계량적 접근이 필요한 시점이다. 본 연구는 1997년부터 2025년 상반기까지 국내에서 발표된 영국 차문화 관련 논문 60편을 수집하여, 이 를 연도별, 학술지별, 논문 형태별로 분류하고, 주제 유형, 핵심 키워드 빈도, 공출현 관계, 군집 구조 등을 분석하였다. 키워드는 수기 코딩 방식으로 정제되었으며, 빈도 기준 3회 이상 항목 중 85개를 중 심으로 워드클라우드와 의미연결망 분석을 실시하였다. 이어서 CONCOR 군집 분석을 통해 개념 간 유 사 연결망을 도출하고, 연구 구조 내 중심 허브와 고립 개념의 위치를 시각화하였다. 분석 결과, 연구는 ‘귀족문화형’, ‘제국주의형’, ‘산업사형’, ‘여성문화형’, ‘콘텐츠형’, ‘비교문화형’의 여섯 가지 유형으로 분 류되었으며, 중심 키워드는 ‘애프터눈 티’, ‘제국주의’, ‘산업’, ‘여성’, ‘블렌딩’ 등이었다. 반면 ‘정서’, ‘공 간’, ‘은제 차도구’ 등은 응집력이 낮고 주변에 위치한 개념으로 확인되었다. CONCOR 분석에서는 네 개의 군집이 형성되었고, 제1군집은 귀족문화형–여성문화형, 제2군집은 제국주의형, 제3군집은 산업사 형, 제4군집은 콘텐츠형–정서문화형으로 구조화되었다. 본 연구는 계량적 방법을 통해 국내 영국 차문화 연구의 흐름을 구조화하고, 주제 간 결속성과 단절성을 가시화하였다는 점에서 문화연구 및 비교문 화 분석에 기초자료로 기능할 수 있다.
