The purpose of this study was to explore the cognitive experiences of pre-service elementary teachers through a gymnastics class that integrated the Sport Education Model and educational technology. The participants were ten pre-service teachers enrolled at a university of education in the metropolitan area. The class was designed and implemented based on the ADDIE model, incorporating key components of the Sport Education Model, including season structure, team affiliation, official record keeping, record preservation, festival elements, and a culminating event. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and rubric-based performance assessments, and were analyzed using inductive category analysis. The results revealed three main areas of cognitive development: (1) improved understanding of performance through self-directed movement analysis, (2) enhanced self-awareness through individualized feedback, and (3) strengthened critical thinking and problem-solving skills through collaborative engagement. These findings suggest that the integration of technology and the Sport Education Model in physical education classes can positively contribute to the cognitive growth of pre-service teachers. This study provides foundational insights for developing instructional strategies that enable pre-service teachers to effectively utilize technology in future educational settings.

본 연구의 목적은 스포츠교육모형과 테크놀로지를 융합한 체조 수업을 통해 예비 초등교사가 어떠한 인지적 경 험을 하는지를 탐색하는 데 있다. 연구 대상은 수도권 소재 교육대학교의 예비 초등교사 10명이며, 이들을 대상 으로 ADDIE 모형에 기반한 수업을 설계·실행하였다. 수업은 시즌 운영, 팀 소속, 공식 기록, 기록 보존, 축제화, 결승전 등 스포츠교육모형의 핵심 요소를 포함하여 구성되었으며, 자료 수집은 참여 관찰, 심층 면담, 루브릭 평 가를 통해 이루어졌다. 수집된 자료는 귀납적 범주분석을 통해 해석하였다. 연구 결과, 예비 초등교사들은 1) 자 기주도적 동작 분석을 통한 수행 이해도 향상, 2) 개별 맞춤형 피드백을 통한 자기 이해의 증진, 3) 협업 기반의 비판적 사고 및 문제 해결 능력 증진이라는 인지적 변화를 경험하였다. 이러한 결과는 체육 수업에서 테크놀로 지와 스포츠교육모형의 융합이 예비 초등교사의 인지적 성장에 긍정적으로 기여함을 시사한다. 본 연구는 예비 초등교사들이 실제 교육 현장에서 테크놀로지를 효과적으로 활용할 수 있는 수업 전략 구안에 기초 자료로 기능 할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
