The purpose of this paper is to examine the Claim of opposition of Buddhism of the Three Scholars of the early Song Dynasty(宋初三 先生) and to examine styles of poetry from the perspective of conflagration and mixing between reason and sensitivity. The Claim of opposition of Buddhism of the Three Scholars of the early Song Dynasty is set in the economic and social impact of Buddhism and the anxiety over the ruling ideology of Confucianism. In their Poetry, The Claim of opposition of Buddhism based on rational perception was expressed metaphorically or directly. In Hu-yuan(胡瑗)'s poems, a Poetic diagram related to Buddhism was not used, and the strict academic attitude toward Confucianism was plainly embodied. In Sun-fu(孫復)'s poems, there have been no work that uses Poetic diagram related to Buddhism, and as a Confucian scholar, his mission and determination to spread the Teaches of Sages widely and make the world at peace were deeply ingrained. In Shi-jie(石介)'s poems, the tendency of 'the opposition of Buddhism but revering Confucianism' is clearly shown.

본 연구는 宋代 排佛 주장들 가운데 宋 理學이 완성되기 이전 儒學者의 사상 흐름에 선구적 역할을 했던 소위 宋初三先生의 배불 주장을 살펴보고, 이성적 인식에 바탕을 둔 그들의 배불 주장과 감성적 토로에 기반한 詩歌 작품의 내용을 함께 분석하여, 理性과 感性의 對立과 交錯이란 각도에서 그 내적 지향을 고찰하였다. 宋初三先生의 배불 주장은 佛敎의 경제 사회적 영향 확대와 儒學의 통치 이념 지위에 대한 불안감 등을 배경으로 하고 있다. 비록 불교 유학 간의 이론 논쟁에까지 이르지는 않았으나, 그 주장은 향후 유학 이론 체계의 정비와 진화, 불교에 대한 심층적 이해와 완전한 송대 이학 이론 체계의 완성을 위한 선구적 역할을 하였다. 宋初三先生은 시가 작품 중 이성적 인식에 기반한 배불 주장을 은유적이거나 직설적으 로 표현하였다. 胡瑗의 시가에는 불교 관련 詩語는 사용되지 않았으나, 전체적으로 이성적 색채가 주를 이루고 유학에 대한 엄격한 학문 태도가 平淡하게 그려져 있다. 孫復의 시가 에도 불교 관련 시어가 사용된 작품은 한 편도 없으며, 유학자로서 聖人의 道를 넓게 펼쳐 천하를 태평하게 하려는 그의 소임과 다짐이 짙게 배어있었다. 石介의 시가에는 유학자의 적극적인 入世 의지가 짙게 묻어있고, 排佛崇儒의 경향이 명시적으로 나타난다. 하지만 불교 사찰을 공간으로 하여 창작한 작품에는 감성적 詩情을 따라 이성과 감성이 서로 교착되어 나타나기도 하였다.
