This study diagnoses the recent intensification of political polarization in South Korean society and explores potential alternatives to overcome it. The analysis reveals that political polarization is not merely a matter of ideological conflict between parties, but rather a consequence of the decline in the ethical foundation, communal spirit, and public consciousness across society. As a response, the study proposes solutions based on Unification Thought. The Perspective of Mutual Prosperity suggests ethical reform in the training and recruitment of political leaders, restructuring of political institutions, and the enhancement of public love education. Additionally, Together-ism presents phased strategies such as promoting unity within civil society, encouraging active civic participation in politics, building a shared public vision, and realizing a peaceful society.

본 연구는 최근 한국 사회에서 심화되고 있는 정치양극화 현상을 진단하고, 이를 극복하기 위한 대안을 모색하였다. 그 결과 정치양극화는 정당 간 이념 대립의 문제 가 아니라 우리 사회 전체의 윤리적 기반, 공동체 정신, 공공의식이 쇠퇴한 결과임을 진단하며 정치양극화의 해소를 위해 통일사상에 기초한 대안을 제시하였다. 그 결과 통일사상의 공영주의에 기초하여 정치양극화 극복을 위해 정치인 양성과 충원 체계 의 윤리화, 정치제도의 재구조화, 공공애 교육 강화 등을 제언하였다. 또한 통일사상 의 타아주의로는 시민사회의 통합노력, 시민사회의 적극적 정치 참여, 공공비전 구 축, 평화로운 사회 실현 등의 단계적 해결방안을 제시하였다.
