This study examines the calligraphy and paintings Lee Ki-ji(李器之) viewed, sought, and acquired during his travels as part of the Yeonhaeng(燕行) delegation in 1720, focusing on Ilamyeongi[一菴燕記]. Before the journey, Lee Ki-ji drew inspiration from the experiences of previous delegations and admired the Chinese artworks they brought back from the Qing Dynasty. Lee Ki-ji also showed keen interest in calligraphy and paintings that were not physically brought to Joseon but were copied or transcribed with their Yeonhaengrok(燕行錄). In 1720, accompanying his father, Lee Yi-myeong(李頤命), as a kin military officer, he directly encountered Chinese calligraphy and paintings he had previously known only indirectly and made efforts to acquire new works. This article examines two key aspects: 1. Viewing and receiving calligraphy and paintings through travel and cultural exchanges. 2. Purchasing calligraphy and paintings through transactions with sellers and buyers. Beyond viewing and acquiring finished works, Lee Ki-ji also producing pieces that reflected his preferences. This study analyzes his Yeonhaengrok to explore his interactions with Chinese calligraphy and paintings, seeks to provide a multifaceted understanding of Yeonhaeng practices.

이 글은 一菴燕記를 중심으로, 李器之가 연행에서 鑑賞하고 求得한 중국 書畵를 총체적으로 검토함에 연구의 목적을 둔다. 연행 이전 이기지는 선행 연행사로부터 연행 경험을 공유받으며, 이들이 청에서 가져온 서화를 감상했다. 또한 실제로 가져오진 못했으나, 그 특징만을 연행록에 기록한 서화에 관해서도 관심을 가졌다. 이후 1720년 李頤命의 子 弟軍官 자격으로 연행에 동행한 이기지는 선행 연행사를 통해 간접적으로 접했던 서화를직접 마주하고, 또 새로운 서화를 구득하기 위해 노력했다. 이러한 모습은 그의 연행록인 一菴燕記에 구체적으로 기록되었는데, 이 글에서는 다음의 두 가지 측면에서 검토한다. 첫째는 遊覽과 交遊를 통한 서화 鑑賞 및 受贈 사례이며, 둘째는 賣買人을 통한 서화 구입 사례이다. 이기지는 이미 완성된 서화를 구득하는 차원을 넘어, 원하는 바의 제작을 의뢰하기도 했다. 이 글은 연행의 유기성을 중심으로 이기지의 연행록 속 중국 서화 기록을종합적으로 고찰함으로써, 연행의 내밀한 면을 다각도에서 이해하고자 한다.
