This study examines the success factors, failure factors, and detailed factors of digital transformation through existing previous research, and examines the unique characteristics of the shipbuilding industry and what is actually going on in the domestic shipbuilding industry as to what the differentiating factors in the shipbuilding industry may be. A case study of digital transformation work was conducted. In order to derive digital transformation acceptance factors, we combined the TOE Framework and innovation diffusion theory based on technology acceptance theory (TAM) to develop a digital transformation acceptance research model suitable for large organizations such as the shipbuilding industry, and to provide information to various members actually engaged in the shipbuilding industry. Empirical analysis was conducted through a survey. Based on TAM, external factors that affect the ease of acceptance and effectiveness of the TOE from a technology, organization, and environment perspective are compared to relative advantage and technical capabilities from a technology perspective, and digital vision and strategy and digital organizational culture from an organization perspective. From an environmental perspective, it was defined as reflecting the characteristics of the industry and competitive pressure. This study is meaningful in providing a theoretical background on which factors are significant from the perspective of acceptance to successfully promote digital transformation of the shipbuilding industry, thereby supporting our country’s shipbuilding industry to maintain differentiated competitiveness.

기업 전반의 디지털 전환에 대한 일반적인 이론과 성공 요인, 혹은 실패 요인에 관한 연구는 다방면으로 진행되 고 있으나, 조선산업의 디지털 전환에 대한 결정요인에 관한 연구는 세계 최고의 조선업을 보유하고 있는 우리나라 에서조차 미비한 상황이다. 대표적인 수주산업이고, 노동집약적 산업이면서도 차별적 기술력이 중요시되는 조선산업 의 디지털 전환의 성공을 위해서는 여타의 제조업과는 차별화된 요인에 대한 분석과 검증이 필요하다. 본 연구는 기술 수용에 대한 이론적 고찰과 선행연구를 수행하였고, TAM과 TOE 결합 모델을 채용하여 조선산 업의 디지털 전환 수용 요인에 관한 기술, 조직, 환경 관점에서의 외부 요인과 수용 의도와의 관계에 대한 연구 모 형을 설계하고, 가설을 정의하였다. 실제 조선업에 종사하고 있는 임직원 373명에 대해서 실증분석 결과, 상대적 이 점, 디지털 조직문화, 경쟁 압력이 인지된 용이성에 유의미한 영향을 미치고, 기술 역량, 디지털 전략과 비전, 산업 특성 반영, 그리고 경쟁 압력이 인지된 용이성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 조선산업의 디지털 전환의 성공적 추진을 위한 주요 요인에 대한 이론적 배경을 제시하였고, 특히 세 계 최고의 조선소에 종사하는 임직원을 대상으로 한 실증분석을 통해서 향후 국내 조선업의 디지털 전환을 보다 올 바른 방향으로 이끌어가기 위한 방향성 정립에 유효할 뿐만 아니라, 전 세계 조선업의 디지털 전환의 성공적인 추 진을 위한 좋은 참고 자료가 될 수 있다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
