This study developed an elementary AI education program using web dramas to develop AI literacy, one of the future competencies of students. Web dramas were used to make students feel interested and immersed in program and to form contexts in the learning process. In addition, the program is composed of contents that allow students to experience all sub-elements of AI literacy. As a result of applying this program, it was confirmed that the students were interested in AI, immersed in the class, and developed AI literacy. However, since the program was limitedly applied to a small number of students, there is a limit to the generalization of effectiveness verification. There may also be differences of opinion on the appropriateness of web dramas depending on the researcher. I propose a follow-up study on artificial intelligence education programs using web dramas that can be used in the other grades of elementary school.

본 연구는 급변하는 시대와 변화하는 교육 흐름을 따라 학생들이 갖춰야 할 미래 역량 중 하나인 인공지능 리터러시를 키우기 위해 웹드라마를 활용한 초등 인공지능 교육 프로그램을 개발하였다. 학생들이 유기적인 프 로그램 내에서 흥미와 몰입을 느끼도록 하고, 배움의 과정에서 맥락을 형성하기 위해 웹드라마를 사용했다. 또 한 프로그램을 인공지능 리터러시의 하위 요소인 AI 인식, AI 원리와 활용, AI 윤리, AI의 사회적 가치를 모두 경험할 수 있는 내용으로 구성하였다. 서울 소재 J초등학교 학생을 대상으로 12차시의 본 프로그램을 적용해본 결과, 학생들은 인공지능에 대한 흥미를 느끼고 수업에 몰입하였으며 인공지능 리터러시를 기른 것으로 확인된 다. 그러나 본 연구의 프로그램은 적은 인원의 학생에게 제한적으로 적용되었기에 효과성 검증의 일반화에 한계 가 있다. 웹드라마의 적절성에 대해서도 연구자에 따라 의견 차이가 있을 수 있다. 추후 초등 저·중학년에서 활 용이 가능한 웹드라마를 활용한 인공지능 교육 프로그램에 대한 후속 연구를 제안한다.
