Recently, convergence education, which breaks down barriers between subjects from elementary school to university majors, has become an important trend in Korea's education field. In particular, convergence education in elementary schools is increasing in importance not only at the level of integrated subjects beyond the boundaries of each subject, but also STEAM education and recent AI convergence education. Convergence education integrates multiple subjects to provide students with effective learning experiences and presents diverse problem-solving perspectives and approaches. It is also effective in improving students' problem-solving and creative thinking skills. In this paper, we propose an educational model that combines Korean language curriculum and AI for lower grades of elementary school. An example of convergence education was presented by applying AI's text-to-speech conversion function to the reading and speaking areas of the first and second grades of elementary school. The AI platform in this paper was based on Scratch, and many previous studies have shown that classes using Scratch have a positive effect on improving students' learning interest. Recently, as the number of multicultural children in Korea has increased, good results can be expected if the AI convergence model using Scratch is applied to multicultural students who are not yet familiar with Korean language and writing.

최근 우리 교육에서는 초등학교에서부터 대학의 전공 영역에 이르기까지 교과별, 학제간 벽을 허무는 융합교 육이 중요한 기조로 자리 잡고 있다. 특히 초등학교에서의 융합교육은 교과별 경계선을 넘어 통합교과 차원에서 뿐만 아니라 STEAM 교육, 최근의 AI 융합 교육까지 그 중요성이 더해가고 있다. 융합교육은 여러 교과를 통합 하여 학생들에게 효과적인 학습 경험을 제공하고, 다양한 문제 해결 관점과 접근법을 제공하기 때문에 학생들의 문제 해결력과 창의력을 증진시키는 효과가 있다. 본 논문에서는 초등학교 저학년 국어 교과와 AI를 융합한 교 육모델을 제안한다. 초등학교 1~2학년 단계의 읽기, 말하기 영역에 AI의 텍스트 음성 변환 기능을 적용하여 학 습에 활용할 수 있도록 하였다. 본 논문의 융합 모델에 사용한 AI 플랫폼은 스크래치를 기준으로 하였다. 많은 선행 연구에서 스크래치를 활용한 수업이 학생들의 학습 흥미도 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 준다는 것은 연구한 바 있다. 최근 우리나라에 다문화 아동이 많아짐에 따라 이러한 스크래치를 활용한 AI 융합 모델을 이용하여 우리 말과 글에 아직 익숙하지 않은 다문화 학생들에게 적용하면 좋은 효과를 기대할 수 있을 것이다.
