This comprehensive study systematically investigates how scientifically optimized interior design solutions can substantially enhance the economic benefits and commercial value of business spaces through significantly improved resource allocation efficiency. Using mid-to-high-end hotels as a representative case study, it thoroughly demonstrates the measurable impacts of three key design dimensions - spatial elasticity configurations, functional zoning optimizations, and symbolic value integrations - on overall operational performance metrics. The research establishes an innovative linkage mechanism between specific design elements and quantifiable economic outcomes, particularly highlighting the compounded value created through modular layout systems, dynamic space adaptation strategies, and culturally infused theme designs in simultaneously reducing operational expenditures, increasing customer retention rates, and generating brand premium advantages. These evidence-based findings provide both theoretical frameworks and practical methodologies for achieving sustainable development in commercial real estate operations. The detailed study reveals that precisely implemented design strategies-including the adoption of transformable modular furniture systems to maximize space utilization, strategic application of BIM technology to optimize mechanical pipeline layouts while minimizing construction rework, and implementation of differentiated material zoning approaches-can effectively reduce per-unit operational costs .carefully planned multifunctional spatial designs and authentic localized cultural symbolism implementations have been shown to significantly elevate average daily room while boosting ancillary revenue streams. Practical applications of adaptive spatial structures demonstrate remarkable improvements in space turnover efficiency and rental income potential, while simultaneously achieving energy consumption reductions through automated climate optimization systems. Breaking new theoretical ground, this pioneering research introduces the novel conceptual framework of "Spatial Elasticity Efficiency" while establishing an integrated "Design-Technology-Economy" analytical paradigm. Utilizing original quantitative measurement models (including the spatial elasticity coefficient γ metric) and comprehensive quasi-experimental data collected from 808 room samples across Huazhu Group's diversified hotel portfolio, the study provides rigorous empirical validation of the causal relationships between specific interior design elements and multidimensional economic effects. The research successfully bridges the critical knowledge gap between micro-level design implementations and macro-level economic performance, directly challenging prevailing "digital consumption substitution theory" assumptions by quantitatively demonstrating the irreducible value of physical space optimization. Furthermore, it develops practical data-driven decision support tools to prevent common resource allocation inefficiencies, ultimately delivering both fundamental theoretical advancements and actionable operational insights for maximizing resource allocation efficiency and ensuring long-term sustainable development in commercial space management.
