This study aims to explore effective strategies for utilizing EdTech tools in Korean language education for international students. Specifically, it provides an in-depth analysis of how the features of the learner-centered teaching platform, Thinkerbell, which has recently garnered attention in educational settings, can influence the motivation and academic performance of international students in language learning. The rapid advancement of digital technology is transforming the educational landscape, and as a result, EdTech has emerged as a key element in providing more personalized and interactive learning experiences. Moreover, given that the primary age group of international students is familiar with mobile devices and digital content, EdTech-based classes offer favorable conditions for implementing learner-centered instruction. Thinkerbell is a platform that allows for lesson design utilizing gamified learning elements, individualized feedback, and a variety of problem types, offering a unique advantage in enhancing both learner engagement and autonomy. However, there has been limited research on the use of Thinkerbell for Korean language instruction aimed at international students. Thus, this study specifically proposes how Thinkerbell’s features can be effectively integrated into Korean language lessons and discusses its educational impact. Through this, the study aims to present practical and effective teaching strategies that support international students’ language and cultural adaptation. Furthermore, it provides insights into the future direction of EdTech-based Korean language education and strategies for optimizing platform usage.

본 연구는 외국인 유학생을 대상으로 한 한국어 교육에서 에듀테크 기반 수업 플랫폼 ‘띵커벨(Thinkerbell)’의 활용 방안을 제시하고, 그 교육 적 효과를 실증적으로 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 디지털 기기에 익숙한 학습자 특성을 고려하여, 게임화 요소와 상호작용 기능을 갖춘 띵커벨을 수업에 적용하고, 고급 수준 학습자들을 대상으로 다양한 수업 활동을 설계․운영하였다. 수업 전후 설문조사 결과, 학습자들은 해당 플랫폼을 통해 학습에 대한 흥미와 집중도가 높아졌으며, 자기 주도적 학습 태도 또한 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 띵커벨은 개별 피드백과 다양한 문제 유형 을 활용한 수업 구성에 효과적이며, 기존 에듀테크 도구들과 비교해 학습 자 참여 유도 측면에서 차별적 강점을 가진다. 본 연구는 한국어 교육 현장에서 에듀테크 플랫폼의 실질적인 활용 가능성을 제시하고, 학습자 중심 수업 설계에 대한 시사점을 제공한다.
