During the Tang Dynasty, Chinese culture reached a remarkable height of prosperity, encompassing a wide range of fields including science and technology, literature, art, historiography, and education. The cultural system was vast, complete, and highly developed, characterized by a strong sense of openness. Among its many achievements, the clothing culture stands out as one of the most distinctive symbols of the Tang Dynasty’s openness and cultural brilliance.With its numerous styles and elegant, magnificent designs, Tang Dynasty clothing became a significant hallmark of Tang culture. The elements of Tang costume culture are the central focus of this study. This article employs an iconographic analysis method, conducting a systematic investigation through three levels: pre-iconographic description, iconographic analysis, and iconological interpretation. Finally, the Tang Dynasty clothing culture is analyzed, and its elements are integrated into design practices to promote the development of both Tang costume culture and the cultural industry. Using the shapes, colors, and patterns of Tang garments as entry points, this study treats Tang clothing culture as a cultural form, with Chinese culture at its core, greatly enhancing the cultural depth and richness of the design.This research not only provides an academic framework for interpreting traditional clothing culture, but more importantly, it establishes a historical reference system for contemporary cultural innovation. It enables cultural resources to be revitalized through design translation, achieving sustainable inheritance within a modern context.

중국 당나라 시대의 문화는 높은 수준에 이르렀으며, 내용이 풍부하고 다채로워 과학, 문학, 예술, 역사학, 교육 등 여러 분야에 걸쳐 있다. 문화 체계는 방대하고 완 전하며, 발전 정도가 높고 개방성이 뛰어나 중국 문화의 보배로 자리잡고 있다. 특히 의복 문화는 당나라의 개방성을 잘 보여주는 상징 중 하나이다. 당나라 의복 문화는 다 양한 스타일과 우아한 디자인으로 당 문화의 중요한 인상을 남겼다. 본 연구는 의복 문 화의 요소를 중심으로 하여 이미지학 분석 방법을 통해 전 이미지 설명, 이미지 분석, 이미지 해석의 세 가지 단계에서 체계적으로 진행하였다. 마지막으로 당나라 의복 문 화를 분석하고 요소를 통합하여 디자인함으로써 당나라 의복 문화와 문화 산업의 발전 을 촉진하고자 한다. 당나라 의복의 형태, 색상 및 문양을 주요 요소로 삼아, 당나라 의복 문화를 문화 형태로 간주하고 중국 문화를 중심으로 하여 디자인의 문화적 내포 와 깊이를 크게 향상시킬 계획이다. 이러한 연구는 전통 의복 문화에 대한 학문적 해석 경로를 제공할 뿐만 아니라, 현대 문화 혁신을 위한 역사적 참고 기준을 마련하여 문화 자원이 디자인을 통해 새로운 생명을 얻고 현대화된 맥락에서 지속 가능한 전승을 실 현할 수 있도록 한다.
