This study aimed to investigate the differences in creative personality and play support efficacy according to the cluster type of empathy ability of early childhood teachers. For this purpose, a survey was conducted with 241 early childhood teachers working at early childhood education institutions in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and Gyeongsang-do between February and March 2024. Based on the collected data, hierarchical cluster analysis and K-means cluster analysis were conducted to derive cluster types, and one-way ANOVA was performed. As a result of the cluster analysis based on sub-factors of empathy (perspective taking, fantasy, empathic concern, and personal distress), four types of clusters were identified: balanced type, emotional exhaustion type, ideal empathy type, and cognitive-emotional imbalance type. The results of the analysis of variance to find out the difference by cluster type showed significant differences in all variables. In particular, the ‘ideal empathy type’ showed the highest score in creativity and play support efficacy, and the ‘emotional exhaustion type’ showed the lowest score. This study suggests that the sub-factor structure type of the empathy ability of individual early childhood teachers can have a real effect on the creative personality and play support efficacy of early childhood teachers, and emphasizes the need to establish customized educational support plans that take into account the psychological characteristics of individual early childhood teachers.

본 연구는 유아교사의 공감능력 군집유형에 따른 창의적 인성과 놀이지원효능감의 차이에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해, 2024년 2월부터 3월까지 서울과 경기도 그리고 경상도 지역의 유아교육기관에 재직 중인 유아교사 241명을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였다. 수집된 자료를 바탕으로 위계적 군집분석과 K-means 군 집분석 방법을 통하여 군집유형을 도출하고, 일원분산분석을 실시하였다. 유아교사의 공감능력 하위요인(관점 취하기, 상상하기, 공감적 관심, 개인적 고통)에 따 른 군집유형을 도출한 결과, 4개의 군집(균형형, 정서적 소진형, 이상적 공감형, 인지-정서 불균형)이 도출되었다. 군집유형에 따른 차이를 알아보기 위한 분산분석 결과 모든 변인에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 특히 ‘이상적 공감형’은 창의성과 놀이지원효능감에서 가장 높은 점수를, ‘정서적 소진형’은 가장 낮은 점수를 보였다. 본 연구는 유아교사 개인의 공감능력 하위요인 구조유형 특성이 유아교사의 창의적 인성과 놀이지원효능감에 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 시사하며, 유 아교사 개인의 심리적 특성을 고려한 맞춤형 교육 지원 방안 마련의 필요성을 강조하고 있다.
