This study aims to analyze the impact of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) activities on the export volumes and financial performance of export companies. It specifically investigates how ESG ratings in various sectors affect a company's export volume and profitability, and further explores their impact on corporate value. The study reveals that environmental aspects of ESG ratings have a significant positive relationship with export volumes, whereas social and governance ratings do not show a substantial impact. Furthermore, an increase in export volume is significantly positively related to improvements in financial performance metrics and enhances corporate value. The findings suggest that environmental sustainability plays a crucial role in the export performance of companies. This research contributes to the existing literature by providing empirical evidence of the differential impacts of various ESG components on export performance and financial outcomes. It offers valuable insights for export companies, policymakers, and investors, highlighting the strategic importance of environmental sustainability in global trade. The study's findings are particularly relevant in the current global context, emphasizing the increasing significance of environmental considerations in corporate strategy and international trade.

본 연구는 환경, 사회, 지배구조(ESG) 활동이 수출 기업의 수출 규모 및 재무성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 특히, 다양한 산업 분야에서의 ESG 평가가 기업의 수출 규모와 수익성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 검토하고, 이를 토대로 기업가치에 미치는 효과도 추가로 분석한다. 분석 결과, ESG 평가 중 환경 부 문이 수출 규모와 유의한 양의 상관관계를 보이는 반면, 사회 및 지배구조 부문은 큰 영향을 미치지 않는 것으 로 나타났다. 또한, 수출 규모의 증가는 재무성과 지표의 개선과 기업가치 향상과도 유의한 양의 상관관계를 형 성하는 것으로 확인되었다. 연구 결과는 환경 지속가능성이 기업의 수출 성과에 결정적인 역할을 하고 있음을 시사하며, ESG 및 수출 전략 수립에 있어 환경 요소의 중요성이 있다는 것을 의미하는 결과이다. 본 연구는 다 양한 ESG 구성요소가 수출 성과와 재무성과에 미치는 차별적 영향을 실증적으로 분석함으로써 기존 문헌에 새 로운 실증적 증거를 제공한다. 이로써 수출 기업, 정책 입안자, 투자자들에게 글로벌 무역에서 환경 지속가능성 의 전략적 중요성을 재조명할 수 있는 유용한 인사이트를 제공하며, 기업의 전략수립 및 국제 무역에서 환경(E) 요인의 중요성이 더욱 증대되고 있음을 시사한다.
