The purpose of this study is to develop and validate the Psycho-emotional Regulation Strategy Scale in Adolescents’ Music Use(PRSS-AMU). The study consists of an item development stage and a validation stage. The questionnaire item development stage consisted of four steps: literature review, in-depth interviews and initial questionnaire development, two times content validation, and cognitive validation. First, we examined the psycho-emotional mechanisms of music through the literature and identified factors related to ‘mood, emotion’. We also reviewed adolescents’ music use and mood regulation strategies, and developed 160 initial questions after conducting in-depth interviews with 23 adolescents. After the first and second content validation, review by scholar of Korean literature, and cognitive validation, four factors, 11 sub-strategies, and 80 preliminary questions were derived. The validation consists of five stages: preliminary survey, item analysis and exploratory factor analysis, main survey, confirmatory factor analysis and finalization of scale items, and criterion-related validity. A preliminary survey was conducted with 276 adolescents, and the items were organized through item analysis and exploratory factor analysis, and the main test items were derived, consisting of 4 factors, 7 sub-strategies, and 37 items. The main survey was conducted on 298 adolescents, and the construct validity was secured through questionnaire analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. The four factors of emotional expression, inner acceptance, distraction, and aesthetic immersion, seven sub-strategies of sensory intensity, release, charging, support, enjoyment, diversion, and satisfaction, and 37 final questions were confirmed. Sensory intensity and release are sub-strategies of the emotional expression factor, charging and support are sub-strategies of the inner acceptance factor, enjoyment and diversion are sub-strategies of the distraction factor, and satisfaction is a sub-strategy of the aesthetic immersion factor.

본 연구의 목적은 청소년의 음악사용에 있어서의 심리정서적 매개요인을 알아보고, 이에 따른 전략 을 측정하기 위한 척도를 개발하고 타당화하는 데 있다. 연구 과정은 총 2단계로, 문항개발 단계와 타당화 단계로 구분된다. 문항개발 단계는 문헌연구, 심층면담 및 최초문항개발, 1·2차 내용타당도 검증, 인지타당도 검증을 거쳐 예비문항을 완성하였다. 먼저, 문헌연구를 통해 음악의 심리정서적 매개요인을 살펴보고 심층면담을 거친 후 160개의 최초 문항을 개발하였다. 이후 1·2차 내용타당도 검증과 국문 자문, 인지타당도 검증을 거쳐 4개의 심리정서적인 음악사용전략의 요인, 그 요인을 구성하는 11개의 기분조절 하위 전략, 총 80개의 예비문항을 도출하였다. 타당화 단계는 예비조사, 문항분석 및 탐색적 요인분석, 본조사, 확인적 요인분석 및 척도 문항 완성, 준거타당도 검증으로 이루어졌다. 청소년 276명을 대상으로 예비조사를 실시하여 탐색적 요인분석을 통해 3차에 걸쳐 문 항을 정리한 후 본조사 문항을 도출하였다. 본조사는 298명을 대상으로 실시하였고, 확인적 요인분 석을 거쳐 4요인, 7하위 전략, 37문항을 확정하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 척도개발의 단계에 따라 도출된 청소년의 심리정서적 음악사용전략 척도의 4요인은 ‘감정의 표현, 내적인 수용, 주의의 분산, 심미적 몰입’이었다. 요인에 따른 하위 전략은 감정표현 요인-감각적 강렬함과 해소, 내적 수 용 요인-충전과 지지감, 주의의 분산 요인-즐거움과 환기, 심미적 몰입 요인-만족감 전략으로 나타 났다. 이 연구는 국내 청소년의 음악적 경험과 정서적 특징을 반영한 음악사용전략 척도를 개발했 다는 것과 이를 청소년이 정서적으로 음악을 사용하는 전략을 이해하고 돕기 위한 음악치료 임상에 적용할 수 있다는 데 의의가 있다.
