- This article aims to examine the depiction and meaning of rural life through the poems of Kim Juntae and Lee Siyoung, written in the 1970s. Both poets became known for their confessional and narrative approaches in portraying the lives of farmers, capturing the reality of rural life from a realistic and populist perspective during the 1970s literary scene. The two poets depicted the harsh economic and social difficulties faced by farmers in different ways. For instance, Kim Juntae vividly portrayed the harsh economic realities of rural life, highlighting the exhaustion and social alienation of farmers, while Lee Siyoung depicted the conflicts and crises within rural society under the pressure of industrialization and foreign influences, using extreme and shocking imagery. In particular, both poets focused on presenting the suffering and historical hardships of farmers, not merely as victims of social and economic inequality under the pressures of industrialization and military regimes, but as individuals with their own unique stories of life. Their poems emphasized the lives of farmers, presenting the reality and struggles of rural life from a social and critical perspective. As a result, their works opened up literary possibilities for rural-themed literature, exploring the changes and suffering of rural life under industrialization and military rule in South Korea.

- 이 글은 1970년대 산출된 김준태와 이시영의 시를 통해 농촌의 형상과 그 의미를 고찰하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 두 시인은 1970년대 문학장에서 농민들의 삶을 서사적인 방식으로 형상화하며 농촌의 현실을 민중적인 시각으로 그려낸 시인들로 자리 잡고 있다. 두 시인은 각기 다른 방식으로 당대 농촌 현실을 그려내며 농민들이 겪던 경제적·사회적 어려움을 사실적으로 그려냈다. 예컨대, 김준태는 농촌의 가혹한 경제적 현실을 묘사하며 농민들의 고단함과 사회적 소외감을 뚜렷하게 제시했고, 이시영은 산업화와 외세의 압박 속에서 농촌 사회가 겪던 갈등과 위기를 극단적·충격적인 이미지로 풀어냈다. 특히, 두 시인은 산업화와 군사정권의 압박을 받던 농민들을 사회적·경제적 불평등의 희생자로 그리기보다는 그들이 겪는 고통과 역사적 고난을 섬세하게 담으며 농민들의 고유한 삶의 이야기를 전하며 당대 농촌 현실과 농민들의 애환을 사회적·비판적 시각에서 제시하는 데 집중했다. 이에 따라 그들의 시는 당시 한국 사회의 산업화와 군사정권 하에서 농촌의 변화와 고통을 탐구하며, 민중시로서 농촌을 주제로 한 문학적 가능성을 열 수 있었다.

- 한국문예창작학회(The Society of Korean Literary Creative Writing)는 한국 문학의 새 지평을 열기 위해 문예창작 이론과 문예교육 이론을 연구 계발하여 문 예창작의 새로운 방향을 제시하고자 조직한 학술단체입니다. 전국 대학과 대학원 문예창작 관련학과의 전·현직 전임교수·겸임(초빙)교수· 강 사·대학원 재학 이상자 및 문예창작인들이 회원으로 활동하고 있습니다. 학회의 목적에 적극적으로 동의하는 문학 관련 단체나 문학창작 동호인도 준회원으로 참 여하고 있습니다. 연 2회 학회지를 발간해 학문적 기반을 닦고 있으며, 정기적으로 학술 세미나 와 해외 문학 심포지엄 등 학술 발표회를 개최하여 학문적 교류와 토론의 장을 넓히고 있습니다. 한편으로, 문예창작 캠프·문학기행 등의 창작교육 활동과 창작 학습 행사를 수 시로 진행하면서, 창작·창작이론·창작교육에 관한 활동의 범위를 넓히고 있습니다. 별도로, 문예창작 교육을 받은 문예창작학도들의 진로 개발을 위해 '문예교육지도 교사 자격 시험'도 운영하고 있습니다. The Society of Korean Literary Creative Writing is a pure academic association for the literary cretive writing, and was organized on November 11, 2001 for the purpose of presenting the new direction of literary creative writing by studying all the methods to activate and develop the theories of literary creative writing and its education. Our society is composed of professors or ex-professors, some invited professor, lecturers, graduate students of the dept. of literary creative writing as regular members, and the persons interested in our program as associative members. Our society holds an annual academic meeting-- literary symposium, literary creative writing seminar-- and publishes the journal of our society and our members' anthology of literary works. Added to these, our society has already started a new project to open the way for our literary juniors by providing them with a certificate as a leader and holding a forum for literary creative writing.
