This study analyzed the daily life conditions of people with developmental disabilities to suggest policy and practical measures to improve their daily life satisfaction. As a result of the analysis of data from the Ministry of Health and Welfare's '2023 Full Survey on the Living Conditions of People with Developmental Disabilities', it was found that people with developmental disabilities generally need support from assistive devices. In particular, the need for risk prevention and communication assistive devices is particularly high. Additionally, the use of treatment services to alleviate challenging behavior was noticeably low, and people with developmental disabilities between middle and old age were found to be in a blind spot of support. The number of overweight (obese) individuals and those with mental problems (depression, stress, etc.) were also found to be high, and their lack of ability to respond to disasters or emergency situations was noted as an important problem. To improve this situation, it is necessary to expand customized education and vocational training for developmentally disabled adults. In addition, the expansion of transportation infrastructure supporting movement within a region is also required, and the supply of assistive devices, particularly risk prevention and communication devices, is urgent. Finally, it is considered necessary to prepare a financial, residential, and legal support system for education and independence of developmentally disabled adults in preparation for disasters.

본 연구는 발달장애인의 일상생활 실태를 분석하고 만족도를 향상시키기 위한 정책적·실천적 방안을 제 시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 보건복지부 ‘2023년 발달장애인 생활 실태 전수조사’ 자료를 기반으로 분석한 결 과 발달장애인은 보조기기 지원이 필요하며, 특히 위험방지 및 의사소통 보조기기의 필요성이 높게 나타났다. 도전적 행동 완화를 위한 치료 서비스 이용률이 낮았고, 중고령기 발달장애인은 지원 사각지대에 놓여 있었다. 과체중(비만)과 정신적 문제(우울, 스트레스 등)가 높은 비율로 나타났으며, 재난이나 위급상황 대응 능력 부족 도 중요한 문제로 지적되었다.이를 개선하기 위해 성인 및 중고령기 발달장애인을 위한 맞춤형 교육과 직업 훈 련 확대가 필요하다. 지역 내 이동을 지원하는 교통 인프라 확대도 요구되며 보조기기와 특히, 위험방지·의사 소통 기기의 보급이 시급하다. 마지막으로 재난 대비 교육과 자립을 위한 재정·주거·법적 지원 체계 마련도 필 요할 것으로 사료된다.
