The purpose of this study is to explore the curriculum experiences of beginning teachers as pre-service teachers in elementary teacher education institutions and to understand in depth the implications of these experiences for them now. To this end, data were collected and analysed using the Currere approach from five pre-service teachers who had graduated from different teacher training colleges and were working in primary schools with less than five years' experience. According to the research findings, firstly, as pre-service teachers, beginning teachers categorised and examined the educational experiences in teacher education institutions according to changes in place, recognised what educational experiences they had been shaped by in the past and realised that these experiences served as a basis for teaching. Secondly, they expressed the educational experiences and content that primary teacher education institutions should require in order to become ideal teachers, drawing on their future as experienced teachers based on their past experiences as novice teachers. Thirdly, they took a comprehensive look at their past and future as current novice teachers, confirming the process of trying to form their own educational values and reflecting on the mindset they had as novice teachers. In conclusion, beginning teachers criticise the lack of operation of the existing teacher education curriculum in the past as pre-service teachers, consider their role as teachers with current and future careers, understand the three-dimensional aspects surrounding their experiences, consider what they can play as teachers, and continue their long 'growth journey' to become teachers with 'I' at their own pace and direction.

본 연구는 초등교원 양성기관에서 초임교사들의 예비 교사 시절 교육과정 경험을 탐색하고 그 경험이 현재 그들에게 주는 의미를 심층적으로 이해하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위 해 서로 다른 교원양성대학을 졸업하고 초등학교에서 근무 중인 경력 5년 이하의 초임교사 5 명을 대상으로 쿠레레 접근을 활용하여 자료를 수집하고 분석하였다. 연구 결과에 따르면 첫 째, 초임교사는 예비 교사로서 교원 양성기관에서의 교육 경험을 장소의 변화에 따라 범주화 하여 살펴보며, 과거 자신이 어떠한 교육적 경험에 의해 형성되었는지를 인식하고 그 경험이 교직을 수행하는 밑바탕이 되었음을 깨닫게 되었다. 둘째, 초임교사는 초임교사로서 과거의 경험을 토대로 경력 교사로서의 미래를 그려보며 자신이 생각하는 이상적인 교사가 되기 위 해 초등교원 양성기관에서 필요한 교육적 경험과 내용에 관한 목소리를 내었다. 셋째, 초임교 사는 현재 초임교사로서 자신의 과거와 미래를 종합적으로 바라보며 자신만의 교육적 가치관 형성을 위한 노력의 과정을 확인하는 동시에 처음 교사가 되어 가졌던 마음가짐을 성찰하였 다. 결론적으로 초임교사들은 예비 교사 시절의 과거 속 기존 교원 양성 교육과정 운영의 부 족함을 비판하기도 하고 현재, 나아가 미래 경력 교사로서의 역할에 대해 고민하며 자신의 경험을 둘러싼 입체적인 양면성을 이해하고, 교사로서 자신이 할 수 있는 일과 역할에 대해 고민하며 자신만의 속도와 방향으로 ‘나’라는 존재의 교사로 향하는 긴 ‘성장의 여정’을 이어가고 있다.
