Research Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the needs of users for the revitalization of traditional performances (plays) and to suggest the direction of specialized education based on the results. Research Contents and Methods: In order to suggest the direction of specialized education for the revitalization of traditional performances by investigating the needs of users, this study first developed a questionnaire for a demand survey targeting the demand group for watching traditional performances. The questionnaire consisted of 48 questions in 3 areas. Next, data was collected through a demand survey created as an online questionnaire targeting 208 potential users from their teens to their 60s. Frequency analysis was performed on the collected data to analyze the needs of users regarding their perceptions and experiences. Next, descriptive statistical analysis was used to investigate the needs for each item. Finally, IPA (Importance Performance Analysis) was used to extract the elements that should be reflected first among the needs of users. As a result, the positive response to interest in and popularity of traditional performances was not high, and the positive response to the necessity and future intention of popularizing traditional performances was high. Next, the consumers suggested expressiveness as the most important factor, and the things that need to be improved first were planning, story fun, and promotion. Accordingly, this study proposed a curriculum structure that can integrate new media technologies and techniques through integrated specialized education with other disciplines. Conclusion and Suggestions: This study explored elements for popularizing traditional performances and presented a plan for improving the curriculum. Considering the results of this study, it is suggested that traditional cultural performances also consider an interdisciplinary approach and operation of integrated majors in order to utilize various directing techniques and special effects.

연구 목적 : 본 연구의 목적은 전통공연(희곡)의 활성화를 위해 수요자들의 요구를 분석하고, 그 결과를 토대로 전공교육의 방향을 제안하는 것이다. 연구 내용 및 방법 : 본 연구는 수요자들의 요구를 조사하여 전통공연의 활성화를 위한 전공 교육의 방향을 제안하기 위해서 먼저 전통공연의 관람의 수요층을 대상으로 요구 조사를 위한 설문 문항을 개발하였다. 설문문항은 3개 영역 48개 문항으로 구성하였다. 다음으로 10대에서 60대까지 잠재적 수요자 208명을 대상으로 온라인 설문지로 제작한 요구 조사를 통해서 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 수요자들의 인식과 경험에 대한 요구를 분석하기 위해서 빈도 분석을 수행하였다. 다음으로 항목에 대한 요구를 조사하기 위해서 기술통계 분석을 사용하였다. 마지막으로 IPA(Importance Performance Analysis)를 통해서 수요자들의 요구 중에 가장 먼저 반영해야 할 요소를 추출하였다. 그 결과 전통공연에 대한 관심과 인기에 대한 긍정 응답은 높지 않았고, 전통공연의 대중화의 필요성과 향후 의도는 긍정 응답이 높게 나타났다. 다음으로 수요자들은 표현력을 가장 중요한 요소로 제시하였고, 가장 먼저 개선되어야 하는 것은 기획과 스토리의 재미, 홍보로 나타났다. 이에 본 연구는 전공 교육에 대해 타학문과의 융합적 전공 교육을 통해서 새로운 미디어 기술과 기법을 통합할 수 있는 교육과정의 구성을 제안하였다. 결론 및 제언 : 본 연구는 전통공연의 대중화를 위한 요소들을 탐색하고, 교육과정 개선에 대한 안을 제시하는 결과를 도출하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 고려할 때, 전통문화 공연도 다양한 연출 기법과 특수효과의 활용을 위해서 간학문적 접근과 융합 전공의 운영을 고려할 것을 제안한다.
