This study explores the selection characteristics of literary works in international Chinese textbooks and analyzes the attitudes and needs of Chinese language learners in Korea when studying literary works. Through an investigation of the literary works selected in Chinese textbooks published in Korea, the study examines their types, themes, and their impact on students’ learning. Additionally, a questionnaire survey was conducted to understand students’ acceptance, interest, and the actual role of literary works in language learning. The results indicate that contemporary essays occupy a significant position in international Chinese textbooks, but there are differences in the selection direction and teaching objectives across various textbooks. Furthermore, Korean students tend to prefer textbooks with practical content when learning literary works and expect detailed explanations of vocabulary, grammar, and cultural background in class. However, the proportion of extracurricular independent reading is relatively low, mainly due to limited time and mismatches with exam requirements. Therefore, in order to enhance students’ interest in literary learning and language proficiency, textbook developers and instructors should consider incorporating more targeted and practical teaching materials, along with diverse teaching methods, to improve the quality of international Chinese education.

이 연구는 국제 중국어 교재에서 문학 작품의 편집 특성을 탐구하고 문학 작품을 배울 때 한국 중국어 학습자의 태도와 요구를 분석합니다. 연구는 한국에서 출판된 중국어 교재에서 선정된 문학 작품을 조사하여 그 유형, 주제 및 학생들의 학습에 미 치는 영향을 분석합니다. 동시에 설문 조사를 통해 학생들이 문학 작품을 배우는 과 정에서의 수용도, 흥미도 및 문학 작품이 언어 학습에서 실제로 어떤 역할을 하는지 이해합니다. 연구 결과에 따르면, 현대 산문은 국제 중국어 교재에서 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있지만, 교재에 따라 재료 선택 방향과 교육 목표에 차이가 있습니다. 또한, 한국 학생들은 문학 작품 학습 과정에서 실용적인 교재를 사용하는 경향이 있으며, 교실 수업이 어휘, 문법 및 문화적 배경에 대한 상세한 설명을 제공하기를 희망합니 다. 그러나 방과 후 자율 독서 비율이 낮은 것은 주로 시간 부족과 시험 수요 불일 치 등의 요인으로 인해 제한됩니다. 따라서 학생들의 문학 학습 흥미와 언어 능력을 향상시키기 위해 교재 작성자와 교사는 보다 구체적이고 실용적인 교육 자료를 도입 하고 다양한 교육 방식을 결합하여 국제 중국어 교육의 질을 향상시키는 것을 고려 해야 합니다.
