The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the early childhood teacher education program for constructivist discipline on improving the problem behavior guidance efficacy of early childhood teachers who discipline children in early childhood education settings. To this end, the program was developed based on the ‘Constructivist Life Guidance and Discipline’ by Marjorie, Patricia, and Deborah (2022) through the procedures of literature review, draft composition, expert consultation, and final completion. In order to verify the effectiveness of this program, a pre- and post-test design was conducted for the experimental group and the control group. Convenience sampling was conducted for the convenience of sample selection, and the experimental group was set to 6 teachers working at Kindergarten A in City B, and the control group was set to 6 teachers working at Kindergarten B. The experimental treatment of the program of this study was implemented once a week for a total of 6 sessions (9 periods) from November 30, 2023 to January 18, 2024 for the experimental group. The control group did not undergo any experimental treatment, and only pre- and post-tests were conducted at the same time as the experimental group. In order to verify the effectiveness of the program, quantitative data (problem behavior guidance efficacy scale) were analyzed to examine the changes in the problem behavior guidance efficacy of early childhood teachers according to the time of program application, and qualitative data (recording and transcription data, journals by session, interviews) collected throughout the program were analyzed. First, the results of the analysis using quantitative data showed that the early childhood teacher education program for constructivist discipline developed in this study had a positive effect on the problem behavior guidance efficacy of the experimental group. Next, the results of the analysis using qualitative data showed that early childhood teachers felt that changes in their interactions with children and classroom administration were occurring positively. The results of this study are significant in that they demonstrated the effectiveness of constructivist discipline education by developing a constructivist -based discipline program that had not been preceded by previous studies and applying it to the field. It is expected that constructivist discipline methods will be widely used as basic data in early childhood education fields in the future.

본 연구의 목적은 구성주의 훈육을 위한 유아교사 교육프로그램이 유아교육현장에 서 유아를 훈육하는 유아교사의 문제행동지도효능감 증진에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는 데 있다. 이를 위해 Marjorie, Patricia와 Deborah(2022)의 ‘구성주의 생활지도 및 훈육’을 기 반으로 문헌고찰, 시안구성, 전문가 협의 진행, 최종안 완성이라는 절차에 따라 프로그램 을 개발하였다. 본 프로그램의 효과를 검증하기 위하여 실험집단과 통제집단 사전-사후 검사 설계를 하였다. 연구대상 선정은 표본 선정의 편의성을 위해 편의표집을 실시하였 고 실험집단으로는 B시의 A유치원에 근무하고 있는 교사 6명, 통제집단으로는 B유치원 에 근무하고 있는 교사 6명으로 설정했다. 본 연구의 프로그램의 실험 처치는 실험집단 을 대상으로 2023년 11월 30일부터 2024년 1월 18일까지 주 1회 총 6회기(9차시) 시행되 었다. 통제집단에서는 실험 처치를 진행하지 않고 실험집단과 같은 시기에 사전-사후 검 사만 시행되었다. 프로그램의 효과 검증을 위해 프로그램 적용 시점에 따라 유아 교사의 문제행동지도효능감 변화를 살펴보기 위하여 양적 자료(문제행동지도효능감 척도)를 통해 분석하였으며, 프로그램 전반적인 과정에서 수집된 질적자료(녹음 및 전사 자료, 회기별 저널, 인터뷰)를 이용해 분석하였다. 먼저 양적자료를 이용해 분석한 연구 결과, 본 연구에서 개발한 구성주의 훈육을 위한 유아교사 교육 프로그램은 실험집단의 문제 행동 지도효능감에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로, 질적자료를 이 용해 분석한 결과 유아교사들은 유아와의 상호작용 및 교실 행정의 변화들이 긍정적으로 일어나고 있음을 느끼고 있었다. 본 연구 결과는 기존 연구에서 선행되지 않았던 구성 주의 기반의 훈육 프로그램을 개발하고 이를 현장에 적용함을 통하여 구성주의 훈육 교육의 효과를 입증했다는 점에서 의의가 있다고 본다. 이후 구성주의 훈육 방법이 유아 교 육 현장에서 널리 활용되는 기초 자료로 활용되기를 기대해 본다
