The purpose of this study is to analyze the current status of the dance sector of the Jeonbuk Arts Festival, one of the representative festivals in the Jeonbuk region, and to derive problems and revitalization measures accordingly. Accordingly, five dancers who have participated in the Jeonbuk Arts Festival were selected using a purposeful sampling method, and the data from inductive analysis was interviewed. As a result, first, the purpose of the Jeonbuk Arts Festival is “regional cultural and artistic exchange and revitalization. Second, 45 works participated in the Jeonbuk Arts Festival, so participation from various genres is necessary. Third, the revitalization measures of the Jeonbuk Arts Festival include reviewing the independent hosting of the arts festival & planning and promotion that can grow together with the Provincial Sports Festival, developing various creative and trendy programs, preparing various support measures and securing performance halls with established systems, attracting audiences through new platforms and establishing a systematic feedback system, increasing the local cultural budget, attracting local companies to sponsor and introducing programs, responding at the government and local government levels, and establishing an art environment in which the public can participate together.

본 연구의 목적은 전북 지역 대표 축제의 하나인 전라예술제 무용부문 현황을 분석하고 그에 따른 문제점과 활성화 방안을 도출하는 것이다. 이에 전라예술제에 참가한 경험이 있는 무용가 5명을 유 목적 표집 방법으로 선정하여 심층 인터뷰한 자료를 귀납적 분석을 한 결과, 첫째, 전라예술제의 취지는 “지역 문화예술 교류 및 활 성화, 둘째, 전라예술제에 참여한 작품은 45개로 다양한 장르의 참여가 필요, 셋째, 전라예술제 활성화 방안으 로는 예술제의 독립적 개최 검토 & 도민체전과 함께 성장할 수 있는 기획 및 홍보, 창의적이고 트랜드에 맞는 다양한 프로그램 개발, 다양한 지원책 마련 및 시스템 구축된 공연장확보, 새로운 플랫폼을 통한 관객 유치 및 체계적인 환류 시스템 구축, 지역문화 예산을 증대, 후원 지역 기업 유치 및 프로그램 도입, 정부와 지방자치단 체 차원 대응 및 대중들이 함께 참여할 수 있는 예술환경 구축 등이 도출되었다.
