This study aims to identify the effect of a growth mindset on dance adherence among 173 college students majoring in modern dance and to verify the mediating effect of individual innovative behavior. To achieve the research objective, a survey was conducted over approximately 11 weeks, from April 27 to July 11, 2024, targeting modern dance majors enrolled in universities located in both metropolitan and non-metropolitan areas. For data analysis, the statistical software SPSS 18.0 was utilized to perform factor analysis, reliability analysis, simple regression analysis, and mediated regression analysis. The results of the simple regression analysis revealed that a growth mindset had a positive (+) effect on the sub-factors of dance adherence, namely tendency, possibility, and reinforcement. Furthermore, the mediated regression analysis indicated that individual innovative behavior partially mediated the relationship between a growth mindset and the sub-factors of tendency, possibility, and reinforcement. Based on the results and discussion, this study highlights the need for conducting qualitative research such as Focus Group Interviews (FGI) and phenomenological studies, expanding research related to individual innovative behavior, and employing a multi-faceted approach as its implications.

본 연구는 현대무용 전공 대학생 173명을 대상으로 성장마인드셋이 무용지속의도에 미치는 영향을 규명하고 개인혁신행 동의 매개효과를 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 2024년 4월 27일부터 7월 11일까지 약 11주에 걸쳐 수도권, 비수도권 대학에 재학 중인 현대무용 전공생 173명에게 설문을 실시하였다. 자료분석을 위해 통계프로그램 SPSS 18.0을 활용하여 요인분석과 신뢰도분석, 단순회귀분석, 매개회귀분석을 실시하였다. 단순회귀분석 결과 성장마인드 셋이 무용지속의도의 하위변인인 경향성, 가능성, 강화성에 정적(+)영향을 미쳤다. 매개회귀분석 결과 성장마인드셋이 경향 성, 가능성, 강화성의 관계에서 개인혁신행동이 부분매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 결과와 논의를 바탕으로 FGI, 현상학에 대 한 고찰 등 질적연구 수행과 개인혁신행동 관련 연구 확대, 다각도의 접근 방법 필요를 본 연구의 시사점으로 도출하였다.
