This paper explores how Jeong Je-du，by integrating the thoughts of Zhu Xi and Wang Yangming，developed his unique interpretation of “liangzhi” (innate knowledge), showcasing the self-correcting nature of Confucian thought. Jeong Je-du thoroughly studied and understood the core theories of both Zhu Xi and Wang Yangming，identifying the potential issues in their practical application through critical analysis. Zhu Xi's “gewu zhizhi” (investigating things and extending knowledge) often led to an excessive focus on external matters，neglecting internal cultivation，while Wang Yangming's “liangzhi” could，in some cases，oversimplify moral practice，resulting in indulgence of desires. By synthesizing and amending the ideas of Zhu Xi and Wang Yangming，Jeong Je-du reveals the inherent flexibility and adaptability of the Confucian system，further demonstrating that Confucianism can maintain its theoretical vitality and enduring influence amid the changing social and intellectual landscapes.

본 논문은 鄭齊斗의 ‘양지’(良知) 해석이 기존의 설과 어떻게 다르며 어떻게수정했는지를 탐구한 것이다. 정제두는 주자학과 양명학을 깊이 있게 이해하며，비판적분석을 통해 두 이론이 실제 적용에서 발생할 수 있는 문제점을 제기하였다. 그래서 주희의格物致知는 외부 사물에 대한 지나친 추구로 인해 내적인 수양을 소홀히 하는 경향이있으며，왕양명의 良知는 도덕적 실천을 지나치게 단순화하여 욕망을 방임하는 문제를 초래할수 있다고 지적하였다. 이런 비판을 통해 정제두는 주희와 왕양명의 사상을 종합하고 수정함으로써，자신의 독창적인양지설을 수립할 수 있었다. 그의 양지설은 유교 사상 체계의 내재된 유연성과 적응성을드러낼 수 있었으니，이를 통해 유교가 변화하는 사회와 사상적 환경 속에서도 그 이론적생명력과 지속적인 영향력을 유지할 수 있음을 보여준다.
