The Bottom Line Mentality (BLM), which prioritizes short-term financial outcomes, is gaining attention across both academic and industrial sectors. While active scholarly debates concerning the antecedents, positive and negative implications of this short-term performance focus are flourishing internationally, domestic research is still lacking. This study aims to conduct an analytical review of 24 papers published in prominent international journals from 2012 to the first half of 2024. The major goal of this paper is to provide domestic researchers and practitioners with valuable insights into the main research themes, key issues, and future research directions regarding BLM. More specifically, this study examines the concept and types of BLM, along with its measurement, critical issues in various research models, and research methodologies. We also propose specific avenues for future research in BLM based on a comprehensive literature review

단기적인 재무적 실적추구를 강조하는 실적중시 사고방식은 학계뿐만 아니라 산업계에서도 주목을 받고 있다. 실적중시 사고방식의 선행 요인, 긍정적 및 부정적 결과 등에 대한 다양한 학문적 논의가 해외에서는 활발하게 이루어지는 반면 국내 연구는 아직까지 미진하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 2012년부터 2024년 상반기까지 해외 유명 학술지에 발표된 24편 논문을 대상으로 연구내용을 분석적으로 고찰하여 국내 연구 자와 실무자들에게 실적중시 사고방식의 주요 연구내용, 핵심 이슈 그리고 향후 연구방향 등에 대한 유용한 단초를 제공하고자 한다. 구체적으 로 실적중시 사고방식의 개념과 유형, 측정, 연구모형별 핵심 내용 및 이슈사항, 연구방법론에 대해서 살펴보았다. 또한 문헌고찰 내용을 기반 으로 실적중시 사고방식 분야의 향후 연구방향에 대해 구체적으로 제언하였다.
