This article identifies the characteristics of the new humanity, generation Alpha, and studies the approaches and directions of Christian education to cultivate them as the people of God’s Kingdom. Generation Alpha is the “Digital Only” and “AI Native” generation for whom the digital world has become a part of their daily lives. They express themselves through various platforms such as selfies, avatars, and short forms. In addition, generation Alpha seeks experiences both online and offline, and makes choices grounded on their own tastes and standards. Therefore, it suggests the following approaches and directions of Christian education for the faith of generation Alpha : Christian education for the people of God in digital literacy, Christian education for the people of God expressing themselves in play, and Christian education for the people of God seeking experiences through the five senses. First, it proposes a faith formation of God's people through digital literacy that shapes their identity and cultivates their ability to access digital knowledge and information, to critically interpret from the Gospel perspective, to express the Gospel in creative ways, and to communicate with society to bring the Gospel to the world. Second, it provides a faith education for God's people who express themselves in play. Playing with God is a sacred experience. As the people of God's kingdom, Generation Alpha expresses their true selves through play with God, recognizing and accepting the expressed self. As they express themselves in play with God, they embrace their wounded selves and are transformed into restored selves. They also accept God as the ultimate playmate and move on to new paths of vocation as God leads them. Third, this research proposes a holistic experience of faith education that utilizes the five senses for the formation of the people of God's kingdom. Through the five senses, Generation Alpha searches for and finds the Sacred, remembers memories of encounters with the Sacred, and re-experiences past events in the present, thus living a life that expands the Kingdom of God by responding to the Sacred.

본 논문은 새로운 인류로 등장한 알파세대의 특성을 규명하고, 이들을 하나님 나라 백성으로 양육하기 위한 기독교교육의 접근과 방향을 연구한다. 알파세대는 “디지털 온리(Digital Only)”와 “AI 네이티브(AI Native)” 세대로서 디지털 세계가 일상의 공 간이며, 인공지능과 함께 공존한다. 또한 메타버스의 다양한 플랫폼 안에서 셀피 (selfie), 아바타(avatar), 숏폼(short form) 등으로 자신을 적극적으로 표현하고 표출하 는 세대이다. 더욱이 알파세대는 온라인과 오프라인 안에서의 경험으로 세계를 인식 하며, 다양한 선택지 안에서 자신의 취향과 기준으로 선택하며, 경험을 추구하는 세대 이다. 이에 알파세대의 신앙을 위한 기독교교육적 접근과 방향이 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문은 디지털 리터러시 안에서 하나님 나라 백성을 위한 신앙교육, 놀이 안에서 자 신을 표출하는 하나님 나라 백성의 신앙교육, 오감을 통해 경험을 추구하는 하나님 나라 백성의 신앙교육을 제안한다. 첫째, 디지털 리터러시 안에서 하나님 나라 백성을 위한 신앙교육으로 하나님 나라 백성으로서의 정체성을 형성하고, 디지털 지식과 정 보에 접근하는 능력, 복음의 시각 안에서 비판적으로 해석하는 능력, 급변하는 세상 속에서 복음을 창의적으로 표현하는 능력, 복음을 세상과 공유하기 위해서 사회와 소 통하는 능력을 함양하는 것이다. 둘째, 놀이 안에서 자신을 표출하는 하나님 나라 백성의 신앙교육을 제안한다. 하나님과의 놀이는 거룩한 놀이이다. 알파세대는 하나님 나라 백성으로서 하나님과의 놀이를 통해 자신을 그대로 표출하며, 표출된 자신을 인 식하고 수용하는 것이다. 하나님과의 놀이는 자신을 표현하면서 상처 받은 자아를 수 용함으로써 회복된 자기로 변화된다. 또한 하나님을 궁극적 놀이자로 받아들이며, 하나님께서 이끌어주시는 대로 새로운 소명의 길로 나아가는 것이다. 셋째, 오감을 통해 경험을 추구하는 하나님 나라 백성의 신앙교육으로서 시각, 청각, 미각, 후각, 촉각의 오감을 활용한 전인적 경험의 신앙교육을 제안한다. 오감을 통해 거룩한 존재(the Sacred)를 찾고(searching), 발견하며(finding), 또한 거룩한 존재와의 기억을 떠올리며 (remembering), 과거의 사건을 현재에서 재경험한다. 이에 거룩한 존재에게 응답 (responding)함으로써 하나님 나라 백성으로서 하나님 나라를 확장하는 삶을 살아가 는 것이다.
