In this study, elementary mathematics textbooks from the Syllabus period to the 2015 revised curriculum were examined in terms of their ways of dealing with calculation methods for (fractions)÷(whole numbers). Teaching calculation methods for (fractions)÷(whole numbers) has been conducted with some of the three methods― dividing the numerator by the whole number, multiplying the whole number with the denominator, and multiplying the reciprocal of the whole number with fraction― in the context of partitive division. The main issue was concerned with which of the three methods to teach. To make teaching calculation methods for (fractions)÷(whole numbers) richer, changes in the following directions are needed. First, beyond the narrow boundaries of one or two calculation methods in the context of partitive division, the horizon of calculation methods and contexts should be broadened. Second, students should be provided with activities for making connections and comparisons among calculation methods. Third, it is necessary to expand the criteria for selecting calculation methods to teach.

우리나라 초등수학교육에서 (분수)÷(자연수)의 계산 방법을 다루어 온 방식에는 다 음과 같은 특징이 있다. 등분 나눗셈 맥락에서 (분수)÷(자연수)의 계산 방법을 다 룬다. 분자를 자연수로 나누기, 분수에 (자연수)   을 곱하기, 분모에 자연수를 곱하기 라는 세 방법 중 일부를 다룬다. 한 방법만 다룬다면 분수에 (자연수)   을 곱하기를 다룬다. 계산 방법 사이의 연결은 다루지 않는다. (분수)÷(자연수)의 계산 방법의 교육을 더 풍부하게 하려면 다음에 관심을 둘 필요 가 있다. 첫째, 기존 계산 방법과 맥락을 넘어 지평 넓히기. 둘째, 의미 있는 연결 활동. 셋째, 내용 선정 기준의 확장과 교과서 체제의 변화.
