Elon Musk expressed in foreign media that Korea's population disappearance will be the fastest in the world. Elon Musk appeared as a video talker at the Future Investment Initiative (FII) held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Oct. 29 One fortunate phenomenon is that the new generation and class, the so-called millennial generation MZ generation, distinguishes between work and leisure, and shows behavioral characteristics that are not reluctant to travel long distances for leisure and leisure on weekends. In the case of Yangyang, Gangwon-do, which had very few visitors not long ago, it has now become a destination for young people who like to surf, and it has become true that on weekends, it is crowded with visitors overflowing with commercial areas. Of course, this is not the case with all small and medium-sized cities. Optionally, major small and medium-sized cities can also find leading cases of overcoming the decline in the resident population with high visit-friendliness. Therefore, this paper aims to propose guidelines for revitalizing small and medium-sized cities by objectively exploring small and medium-sized urban regeneration models that can overcome population extinction and regional decline by presenting standards to promote revitalization of new small and medium-sized cities in response to the decline of small and medium-sized cities.
