This study aims to identify the present school situation from the holistic education point of view. Holistic education introduced a series of student/teacher-friendly school algorithms waiting to be applied in mainstream education. However, without a transparent diagnostic system, it is difficult to say whether our schools are already using any of these holistic standards and which are still missing. To do that, the author checked students’ and teachers’ overall impression of the school and their relationship with each other. This study will acknowledge the key issues students and teachers face at several private Senior High schools in Japan. We will find out whether these schools have similar problems and discuss how we can make our schools more student- and teacher-friendly.

이 연구는 총체적인 교육 관점에서 현재 학교의 상황을 파악하는 것을 목표로 한다. 전인적 교육은 주류 교육에 적용되기를 기다리는 일련의 학생/교사 친화적인 학교 알고리즘을 도입했 다. 그러나 투명한 진단 시스템 없이는 우리 학교가 이러한 총체적인 기준을 이미 사용하고 있 는지, 아직 누락된 부분이 있는지 알기 어렵다. 이를 위해 저자는 학생과 교사들의 학교에 대한 전반적인 인상과 서로의 관계를 조사했다. 이 연구는 일본의 여러 사립 고등학교에서 학생과 교사가 직면하는 주요 문제를 파악했다. 이러한 학교에도 비슷한 문제가 있는지 알아보고 학생 과 교사 친화적인 학교를 만드는 방법에 대해 논의하였다.
