This study aims to enhance Korean language learners’ communicative competence in Korean and their understanding of Korean society and culture by analyzing neologisms and proposing learning strategies for them. The study analyzes the morphological structure and formation processes of neologisms and selects suitable new words for educational purposes. The result shows the effective learning methods for Korean language learners. Based on a theoretical understanding of the word formation processes of neologisms, the study includes practice-oriented educational methods utilizing SNS and blended learning. Specifically, it emphasizes participatory activities that help learners naturally acquire the meanings and usages of neologisms in context and apply them in daily life. The results indicate that most learners found that learning neologisms helped improve their Korean vocabulary and communicative competence. Particularly, learners reported that using neologisms on SNS made learning easy and enjoyable, and boosted their confidence in living in Korea. The learning strategies proposed in this paper highlight the importance of neologism learning in the field of Korean language education and can be utilized as practical educational materials.

본 연구에서는 한국어 학습자들의 한국어 의사소통 능력 향상과 함께 한국 사회 문 화의 이해를 돕기 위하여 신어를 분석하고, 신어 학습 방안을 제안하고자 한다. 신어의 형태학적 구조와 생성 과정을 분석하여 교육에 적합한 신어들을 선정하고, 이를 효과 적으로 학습할 수 있는 방안을 제안한다. 이는 신어의 조어 방식에 대한 이론적 이해를 바탕으로, SNS와 블렌디드 러닝을 활용한 실습 중심의 교육 방법을 포함한다. 구체적 으로는, 학습자들이 신어의 의미와 사용법을 맥락 속에서 자연스럽게 익히며, 이를 일 상생활에서 활용할 수 있도록 돕는 참여형 활동을 강조한다. 학습 방안의 적용 결과, 대부분의 학습자들은 신어 학습을 통해 한국어 어휘 능력과 의사소통 능력 향상에 도 움이 되었음을 확인하였다. 특히 SNS에서 신어를 사용하여 한국어로 소통한 경험을 통 해 쉽고 재미있게 신어를 배웠고, 한국 생활을 하는 데 자신감이 생겼다고 하였다. 본 고에서 제시한 학습 방안은 한국어교육 분야에서 신어 학습의 중요성을 인식시키고, 실제적인 교육 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
