In recent times, literacy has been emphasized as a crucial ability that fosters creative and critical thinking, extending beyond mere reading and writing. In Christian faith, biblical literacy plays a significant role in both individual spiritual growth and the formation of healthy values within the church. Therefore, this study aimed to explore educational methods utilizing AI to enhance Bible reading and literacy. Historically, ignorance of the Bible has contributed to the consolidation of church power and social inequality. In the wake of modernization, the authority of the Bible has weakened, and the number of people who do not fully understand the Bible has increased. As we live in the digital age, the Bible is now easily accessible through digital devices and apps, yet the percentage of people who read and understand it remains low. This highlights the need for Bible reading and literacy education. Accordingly, this study proposed directions and methods for Bible reading and literacy education utilizing AI. AI-powered Bible reading and literacy education can provide efficient and personalized education, overcoming the limitations of traditional Bible reading methods. AI can be utilized as a tool to assist learners' understanding through various methods such as providing background knowledge of the Bible, original language interpretation, historical context explanation, interactive and game-based systems. Additionally, it can support in-depth research and interpretation of specific topics in the Bible, helping learners to understand and study the Bible more systematically. However, it is necessary to consider issues such as data bias, lack of spiritual discernment, privacy concerns, and authority when utilizing AI.

최근 문해력은 단순한 읽기와 쓰기를 넘어 창의적, 비판적 사고를 촉진하는 중요한 능력으로 강조되고 있다. 기독교 신앙에서도 성경 문해력은 개인의 신앙 성장과 교회의 건강한 가치관 형성에 중요한 역할을 한다. 따라서 본 연구는 AI를 활용한 성경 읽기와 문해력 향상을 위한 교육방안을 찾아보고자 했다. 역사적으로 성경에 대한 무지는 교회의 권력 강화나 사회적 불평등을 초래한 원인 중 하나였으며, 근대화 이후 성경의 권위가 약해지고 성경을 제대로 이해하지 못하는 사람들이 많아졌다. 디지털 시대를 살아가는 현대에는 성경을 디지털 기기와 앱을 통해 쉽게 접근할 수 있게 되었지만, 성경을 읽고 이해하는 사람들의 비율은 여전히 낮다. 이에 따라 성경 읽기와 문해력 교육의 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 AI를 활용한 성경 읽기와 문해력 교육의 방향과 방법을 제언했다. AI를 활용한 성경 읽기와 문해력 교육은 효율적이고 맞춤형 교육을 제공할 수 있고, 기존의 성경 읽기 방법의 한계를 극복할 수 있는 방법이 될 수 있다. AI는 성경의 배경 지식 제공, 원어 해석, 역사적 문맥 설명, 대화형, 게임형 시스템 등 다양한 방식으로 학습자의 이해를 돕는 도구로 활용될 수 있다. 또한 성경의 특정 주제에 대한 깊이 있는 연구나 해석을 지원하는 기능을 통해 성경을 보다 체계적으로 이해하고, 학습할 수 있게 도와준다. 하지만 AI 활용에 따른 데이터 편향성, 영적 분별력 부족, 개인 정보 보호 문제, 그리고 권위 문제를 고려할 필요가 있다.
