This study investigates the impartiality and fairness of the programs aired during the election period by analyzing the argumentative strategies, propaganda, and conversational styles of the current affairs talk programs on comprehensive channels. These programs have faced criticism for their biased and irrational arguments since their inception. On February 17, 2022, the day of the presidential election, we conducted an analysis of the afternoon time slot programs from four channels. Our analysis focused on the interview subjects, information formats, argumentation strategies, propaganda techniques, and conversational styles used in these programs. The primary discoveries are as follows. Initially, the partial reduction of prejudice in the subjects and matters discussed in the long-form current affairs programs has occurred, and each program has adopted a distinct approach in addressing these topics and issues. Furthermore, the debate around the logical reasoning employed in long-form current events programs remains contentious. However, there have been some improvements in the issues initially raised throughout the broadcast, and each program has adopted distinct arguing techniques. Furthermore, regarding political impartiality, the utilization of propaganda strategies in extended discussion programs shown a decline in derogatory language, while the employment of bandwagons and authoritative testimony witnessed an increase. This indicates that the utilization of propaganda techniques is evolving in more advanced ways compared to previous years. Furthermore, the utilization of propaganda techniques such as deceit, compassion, and conformity in the strategies of argumentation has escalated, suggesting that the potential to sway public sentiment through the manipulation of specific facts has grown. Furthermore, our research indicates that there has been a noticeable rise in the blending of factual information with subjective claims, especially when it comes to deliberate interventions. This heightened focus on intentional interventions carries a greater likelihood of distorting or misrepresenting facts in specific situations. In general, we observed distinct disparities in the utilization of partisan bias, arguing methods, and speech patterns among programs, indicating the presence of deliberate program differentiation, unlike in the program's initial stages. However, it is necessary to conduct qualitative content analysis and discourse analysis to determine whether these program-specific differences are temporary or if they have a lasting impact on the ideological partisanship and argumentative rationality of individual programs by creating a distinct program personality.

이 연구는 방송 초기부터 정파적 편향과 논증의 비합리성의 문제점이 꾸준히 제기되어 온 종합편성채널 시사대담 프로그램의 논증전략과 프로파간 다 기법, 화행분석을 통해 선거 기간 중에 방송된 프로그램의 정파적 중립성 과 균형성을 검증하고자 했다. 20대 대선 공식선거운동 기간 중 방송된 4개 채널의 대표 시사대담 프로그램을 대상으로 시퀀스를 구분하여 대담 대상과 정보제공형식, 논증전략, 프로파간다 기법, 화행양태 분석을 실시하였다. 주 요 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 종편 시사대담 프로그램의 대담 소재와 이슈 편향성은 일부 완화되기도 했으며, 소재와 이슈를 다루는 방식도 프로 그램별로 차별화되는 모습을 보였다. 둘째, 종편 시사대담 프로그램의 논증 합리성은 여전히 논쟁적인 것으로 나타났고, 프로그램별로 논증 전략의 활용 방식에 차이가 뚜렷했다. 셋째, 정치적 중립성과 관련하여 종편 시사대담 프 로그램의 프로파간다 기법 활용은 부정적 호칭이 감소한 반면, 밴드웨건과 권위적 증언의 비중이 증가하였다. 이는 프로파간다 기법의 활용이 다양한 방식으로 정교하게 이뤄지고 있음을 의미한다. 또한, 논증전략 중에 공표사 실이나 근거제시 전략에 속임수, 공감유인, 밴드웨건 등의 프로파간다 기법 활용이 증가함으로써 선별된 정보를 통한 여론 호도 가능성은 더 높아진 것 으로 나타났다. 넷째, 사실과 주장이 혼재된 발화양태는 초기에 비해 오히려 증가한 것으로 추측되며 특히 의도개입적 강조의 비중이 증가함으로써 특정 , 맥락에서 사실을 과장하거나 호도할 잠재적 위험이 높아졌음을 확인하였다. 전체적으로 프로그램별로 정파적 편향성과 논증전략 발화양태의 활용 패턴 , , 에 차이가 뚜렷하게 발견되어 종편채널 간 전략적 프로그램 차별화가 진행 되고 있다는 점을 알 수 있었다 다만 이러한 프로그램별 차이가 일시적인 . , 현상인지 또는 고유한 프로그램 성격을 정립함으로써 개별 프로그램의 이데 , 올로기적 정파성과 논증 합리성에 영향을 미치는 것인지는 질적 내용분석과 담론분석을 통해 추가 검증이 요구된다.
