Korea is facing problems such as increased supply of medical services and medical costs as the demand for care increases with the advent of an aged society. In this situation, there are various ways to improve the efficiency of care management, but the most realistic and appropriate way to deal with the problems would pursue the digitalization of the medical system for Korea as an ICT powerhouse. In addition, problems with the payment system for medical expenses have also been apparent while the use of medical care has rapidly increased due to the population aging in Korea. As a result, poor older adults are expected to experience more severe health inequality. As healthcare systems become digitalized, it can be expected to alleviate health inequalities for them and promote sustainable development in local communities. Most older people do not want to leave the community where they live, even if they need care services due to illness or disability. Accordingly, it is necessary to build ICT-based smart hospitals within the local communities and to develop care services that can be provided at home. The establishment of the smart hospitals should be based on ESG management, and government support for it is also urgent.

우리나라는 고령사회의 도래와 함께 돌봄 수요가 늘어남에 따라 의료서비스 공급이나 의료비용의 증 가 등의 문제에 직면하고 있다. 이와 같은 상황에서 돌봄 관리 효율성을 높이는 방안은 다양하지만, ICT 강국으로서 우리나라가 현실적으로 추진하기 적절한 방안은 바로 의료체계의 디지털화이다. 또 우리나라는 인구 고령화로 인해 의료 이용량이 급증하는 상황에서 진료비 지불제도의 문제도 드러나 고 있다. 그로 인해 취약계층 고령자의 경우 의료 불평등을 더 심하게 겪을 것으로 예상된다. 의료시 스템이 디지털화가 되면 고령자에 대한 의료 불평등의 완화 및 지역사회의 지속적인 발전을 기대할 수 있다. 고령자는 질환이나 장애가 발생하여 돌봄 서비스가 필요한 상태이더라도 자신이 거주하는 지역을 떠나기를 원하지 않는다. 이에 지방을 중심으로 ICT 기반 스마트병원이 설립되어야 하며, 가 정에서도 돌봄 서비스가 이루어질 수 있도록 발전해야 한다. 스마트병원의 설립은 ESG 경영을 기반 으로 해야 하며, 여기에 대한 정부의 지원도 절실히 요구된다.
