This paper examines the strategic importance of defense data in the era of future intelligent warfare and proposes development directions based on an analysis of the current management state. Starting with the 2020 Defense Artificial Intelligence Strategy, key milestones include the 2021 enactment of the “Directive on the Management and Utilization of Defense Data,” the establishment of the Defense Data Analysis Center within KIDA in 2023, and the inauguration of the Defense AI Center within the Agency for Defense Development in 2024. These initiatives systematically advance data collection, management, analysis, and utilization. Development directions are categorized into six areas: platform, standards and quality, security and rights, analysis and services, AI training data, and defense industry data. 본 논문은 미래 지능화 전장에서 국방 데이터가 전략적 자산으로서 갖는 중요성을 다루며, 현재 관리 상태를 분석하여 데 이터의 발전 방향을 제안한다. 2020년 국방 인공지능 추진전략을 시작으로, 2021년 ｢국방데이터 관리 및 활용 활성화 훈령｣ 이 제정되었고, 2023년에는 KIDA에 국방데이터분석센터가, 2024년에는 국방과학연구소 내 국방AI센터가 설립되었다. 이를 기반으로 데이터의 수집, 관리, 분석, 활용을 체계적으로 추진하고 있으며, 발전방향은 플랫폼, 표준･품질, 보안･권한권리, 분 석･서비스, AI 학습 데이터, 방산 데이터의 6개 영역으로 나뉜다. 본 논문은 국방 데이터의 전략적 관리를 통해 지능화 전장 에서 우위를 확보하기 위한 정책적 제언을 제공한다.
