The 1907 Pyongyang Great Revival Movement holds significant meaning from the perspective of True Parents' theology. This movement was a manifestation of Heavenly Parent's (God's) providence, allowing the Korean people to experience a profound spiritual awakening through the Christian foundation prepared by Heaven. It served as a catalyst for the Korean nation to develop its spirituality autonomously and facilitated the growth of the church. The Korean people engaged in a repentance movement in accordance with Heavenly Parent's word, leading to the formation of an ethical faith community that transcended individual awakening. Reflecting on the Pyongyang Great Revival Movement, this study suggests that, in gratitude for Heavenly Parent's love and grace in preparing the Korean people, there is a need for a great awakening movement in our era. This movement should revive the traditions of studying the Word and fervent prayer, enabling the Korean people to fulfill their contemporary responsibilities.

본 연구는 참부모신학의 관점에서 1907년 평양대부흥운동이 어떠한 의미를 가지며 어떠한 영향을 주었는가를 살펴보고자 하였다. 평양대부흥운동은 하늘부모님이 준비해오신 기독교 기반을 통해 한민족이 하늘부모님을 체휼하는 역사였으며 한민족의 영성을 주체적으로 형성하 고 교회가 성장할 수 있는 계기였다. 한민족은 하늘부모님의 말씀을 따라 회개운동을 벌였으며 개인적 각성을 넘어 윤리적인 신앙공동체를 형성하였다. 평양대부흥운동을 통해 이 시대에도 한민족을 예비하신 하늘부모님의 사랑과 은혜에 감사면서 말씀공부와 통성기도의 전통을 되살 려 한민족의 시대적 책임을 다할 수 있는 대각성운동이 요청됨을 제안하였다.
