The purpose of this study is to comprehensively investigate the development and effectiveness of the active senior sports tourism program. A total of 12 people participated in the focus group and shared various opinions, and the results are as follows: It was found that active seniors were not satisfied with simply enjoying life and touring for field trips but wanted to experience various sports tourism programs. Since active seniors prefer not only to enjoy sports itself but also to lead to tourism, it is important for the tourism industry to accurately grasp and provide what they want. In addition, since active seniors have strong purchasing power, it is necessary to provide their preferred tourism program. The effectiveness of the sports tourism program for active seniors was positive because it was found to be of great help in improving their quality of life. As the elderly population is rapidly increasing, the tourism industry is paying attention to active seniors who enjoy sports tourism. The results of this study are expected to greatly contribute to developing sports tourism programs for active seniors and observing their effects. It also suggests the direction in which the active senior sports tourism field should develop and provides practical information.
