This study empirically analyses the relationship between industry-university collaboration capability and student entrepreneurship performance based on university characteristics in Korea's four-year universities. For this purpose, this study was conducted on 146 four-year universities in Korea that disclosed their student entrepreneurship performance on university information disclosure data. The empirical analysis showed that the proportion of full-time faculty members focused on industry-academia collaboration and the amount of student entrepreneurship support had a significant impact on student entrepreneurship performance. In addition, the ratio of students taking entrepreneurship courses to enrolled students had a significant positive effect, but the ratio of students taking non-curricular entrepreneurship courses to enrolled students had no effect. SCI-ranked/SCOPUS journals per full-time faculty member had a significant effect, but patent applications/registrations per full-time faculty member had no significant effect. In terms of university characteristics, non-metropolitan areas had a significant impact, and universities with a large number of students had a positive impact on student entrepreneurship performance. These findings suggest that to improve performance, universities should focus on investments, such as expanding entrepreneurship education in the regular curriculum and supporting faculty research, expanding faculty members focused on industry-academia collaboration, and increasing the amount of student entrepreneurship support.

본 연구는 우리나라 4년제 대학을 대상으로 대학의 특성에 따른 산학연역량과 학생창업성과의 관계를 실증 분석하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 대학알리미(대학 정보공시 자료)와 중소벤처기업부, 한국교육개발원, 국가통계포탈 등의 자료를 활용하여 공시기준 2022∼2023년도 대학알리미 사이트에 학생창업실적을 공시한 국내 146개 4년제 대학을 대상으로 연구를 진행하였다. 실증분석 결과 전임교원 중 산학협력 중점 교원 비율과 학생창업지원액이 학생창업성과에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 재학생 대비 창업강좌 이수 학생 비율은 유의하게 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으나 재학생 대비 창업 비정규 교과 이수 학생 비율은 영향을 미치지 못했다. 전임교원 1인당 SCI급/SCOPUS 학술지 실적은 유의한 영향을 미쳤으나 전임교원 1인당 특허출원·등록 실적은 유의한 영향을 미치지 못했다. 또한 대학 특성에 있어서는 수도권에 있는 대학이 비수도권이 유의한 영향을 미쳤고, 재학생 수가 많은 대학이 학생창업성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 이러한 분석 결과는 대학이 학생창업성과를 제고하기 위해서는 정규 교육과정 내 창업 교육 확대와 교원 연구에 대한 지원과 더불어 산학협력 중점 교원 확충, 학생창업지원액 증액 등 인적·물적 투자에도 중점을 두어야 한다는 점을 시사하고 있다. 한 편 본 논문은 2년간의 대학 정보공시 자료를 기반으로 양적인 연구를 진행하였기 때문에 질적인 연구에 대한 한계점을 가지고 있다. 또한 대학의 창업 전담 조직, 지원 체계 및 프로세스, 전용공간 등에 대한 변수를 고려하지 않아 향후 연구를 통해 이를 보완할 필요가 있다.
