This paper explores the application of traditional Chinese “Principle of Reason and Humanity” thought in cross-cultural communication and conflict resolution, aiming to provide insights into constructing universal moral and ethical principles. It first elucidates the profound wisdom of “Principle of Reason and Humanity” as the crystallization of Chinese civilization, highlighting its guiding significance for personal cultivation and interpersonal harmony. From a cross-cultural perspective, the paper demonstrates the unique role of “Principle of Reason and Humanity” in resolving civilizational conflicts and, through case studies, distills a systematic solution path of appealing to “affection,” persuading by “reason,” and regulating through “rule of law.” Building on this foundation, the paper discusses the enlightenment of the universal values embodied in “Principle of Reason and Humanity,” such as benevolence, justice, and good governance, for constructing universal ethical principles and envisions their innovative development in modern social contexts. This paper argues that in an era of increasingly frequent cross-cultural interactions, “Principle of Reason and Humanity” thought contributes to enhancing emotional identification, value consensus, and behavioral norms among different groups, providing essential ideological resources and practical paths for addressing global challenges and promoting the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

본 논문은 중국 전통의 “정⋅리⋅법(情⋅理⋅法)” 사상을 바탕으로, 이 사상이 이문화 교류와 갈등 해결에서 어떤 역할을 하는지 탐구하고, 보편적 도덕 윤리 원칙 구축에 대한 시사점을 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 먼저 “정⋅리⋅법”이 중화민족 지혜의 결정체로서, 개인의 도덕적 수양과 인간관계의 조화에 중요한 지침이 된다는 점을 설명한다. 또한, 본 논문은 이문화적 관점에서 “정⋅리⋅법”이 문명 간 충돌을 해소하는 독특한 역할을 수행하고, 사례 분석을 통해 “정(情)”으로 감동을 주고 “이치[理]”로 설득하며 “법치(法治)”로 규범을 세우는 체계적 해결 방안을 제시한다. 이를 바탕으로 “정⋅리⋅법”이 내재하는 인애, 정의, 선치(善治) 등의 보편적 가치가 보편적 윤리 원칙을 구축하는 데 중요한 교훈을 제공하고, 이것이 현대 사회의 혁신적 발전에 기여할 수 있음을 전망한다. 본 논문은 이문화 교류가 점점 더 빈번해지는 시대에 “정⋅리⋅법” 사상이 다양한 집단 간의 정서적 공감, 가치 합의, 행동 규범 증진에 기여하여, 전 지구적 도전에 대응하고 인류 운명 공동체 건설을 추진하는 데 중요한 사상적 자원과 실천 방안을 제공할 것이라고 주장한다.
