This study analyzed the relationship between economic difficulties and daily life satisfaction in single-person households with unemployed disabled individuals. It also investigated the impact of a disabled personʼs degree of acceptance of their disability on the aforementioned relationship. Data were collected from 500 single-person households out of the total 4,577 respondents in the seventh wave of the Employment Panel for the Disabled (2022). These respondents stated that they currently had no other members in their households and that they were unemployed. The data were then statistically analyzed using SPSS 25.0 and Model 4 of Process Macro 4.1. The main results are as follows. The multiple regression analysis revealed that the higher the subjective socioeconomic status, the greater the daily life satisfaction in the households examined. The verification of each pathʼs significance showed that economic difficulties significantly affected the respondentsʼ degree of acceptance of their disabilities and their satisfaction with their daily lives. The degree to which disability was accepted also had a significant positive effect on satisfaction with daily life. Finally, the degree to which disability was accepted had a mediating effect on the relationship between economic difficulties and daily life satisfaction. These results enabled us to comprehensively understand the economic difficulties experienced by unemployed single individuals with disabilities. We also derived practical and policy implications related to support policies that can increase the daily life satisfaction of single-person households with disabled individuals.

본 연구는 미취업 장애인 1인가구를 대상으로 경제적 어려움과 일상생활만족도와의 관계를 분석하고, 그 경로에서 장애인 당사자의 장애수용정도는 어떤 영향을 미치는지 조사하였다. 본 연구에서는 장애인고용패널의 7차 데이터(2022년)의 대상 4,577명 중 현재 다른 가구원이 없고 미취업 상태라고 응답한 1인가구 500명의 자료를 분석에 활용하였다. SPSS 25.0 프로그램과 Process Macro 4.1의 Model 4를 사용하여 통계분석을 시행하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 경제적 어려움과 장애수용정도가 일상생활만족도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위해 다중휘귀분석을 실시한 결과, 주관적 사회경제적 지위가 높을수록 일상생활만족도는 높게 나타났다. 각 경로의 유의성을 검증한 결과 경제적 어려움은 장애수용정도와 일상생 활만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 장애수용정도도 일상생활만족도에 정적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 경제적 어려움과 일상생활만족도와의 관계에서 장애수용정도가 매개효과를 가지는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이상과 같은 연구결과를 바탕으로 미취업 장애인 1인가구의 경제적 어려움을 구체적으로 이해하고, 일상생활만족 도를 높일 수 있는 1인가구 지원과 장애인 지원정책이 연결된 실천적, 정책적 함의를 도출하고자 한다.
