This study verified the mediating effect of school life adjustment in the relationship between self-efficacy perceived by elementary school students and career maturity. For this purpose, a self-report questionnaire was conducted on the self-efficacy scale, school life adjustment scale, and career maturity scale to 204 male and female elementary school students in the 5th and 6th grades attending M Elementary School in Gyeonggi-do. The collected data were analyzed for mediation effects using Process Macro ver. 4.2 of the SPSS 29 statistical program, and statistical significance was confirmed through bootstrapping. As a result of this study, self-efficacy perceived by elementary school students was found to significantly explain career maturity through school life adjustment. In particular, the mediating effect was significant in all sub-factors of school life adjustment. Through the results of this study, it was verified that elementary school students with higher self-efficacy show higher school life adjustment and that this can also increase career maturity, and that career maturity-related self-efficacy and school life adjustment(study attitude and rule compliance, teacher relationships, peer relationships, school satisfaction)were confirmed to have an impact as important variables. Finally, the significance and limitations of this study, as well as suggestions for future research, were discussed.

본 연구는 초등학생이 지각한 자기효능감과 진로성숙도의 관계에서 학교생활적응의 매개효 과를 검증하였다. 이를 위해 경기도에 소재한 M 초등학교에 재학 중인 5, 6학년 남녀 초등학 생 204명을 대상으로 자기효능감 척도, 학교생활적응 척도, 진로성숙도 척도에 관한 자기보 고식 설문을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 29 통계 프로그램의 Process Macro ver. 4.2를 사 용하여 매개효과를 분석하고, 부트스트랩을 통해 통계적 유의성을 확인하였다. 본 연구결과, 초등학생이 지각한 자기효능감은 학교생활적응을 매개로 하여 진로성숙도를 유의하게 설명 하는 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 학교생활적응의 모든 하위요인에서 매개효과는 유의하였다. 본 연구결과를 통해 자기효능감이 높은 초등학생일수록 높은 학교생활적응을 보이며 이로 인해 진로성숙도 역시 높아질 수 있음을 검증하였으며, 진로성숙도와 관련 자기효능감과 학 교생활적응(학업태도 및 규칙준수, 교사관계, 또래관계, 학교만족도)이 중요한 변인임을 확인 하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점, 추후 연구를 위한 제언을 논의하였다.
