Actors and audiences are widely recognized as essential elements of the play, regardless all ages and countries, all times and places. This researcher intends to examine how the aesthetic trend of the so-called ‘post-’ era, represented by ‘body’ and ‘phenomena’, affects the improvement of the relationality between actors and audiences. First, the actor-audience relationship pattern was examined in general based on the representational and performative method of acting, and the aesthetic trend of the post-era related to relationality improvement was investigated from the perspective of each actor and audience. It defines the body of a post-age actor who represent with phenomenological aesthetics as a bridging and bridging act, and explores the impact on improving relationality with the audience. The audience became more involved in the multi-layered “between” created by the actor's body and actions, and “between” became a base of co-production that allowed the audience to intervene in the play by operating an integrated cognitive system, away from the conventional appreciation. Through the above research, it was confirmed that the cross-linked characteristics of the body and the audience's convergence perception system operating between them affect the improvement of the relationality between actors and audiences in the post-era. However, this study has limitations in empirical aspects because it has a theoretical characteristic of arguing based on existing data, not researcher's experience cases. It is hoped that this paper will serve as another indicator to re-examine the relationship between actors and audiences in relation to the aesthetics of the post-era and to explore the possibility of establishing a new relationship. In addition, the improvement of the role of the audience with weakened otherness and the way actors exist as signifiers and phenomena are considered based on related previous studies, and another perspective on actors and audiences is presented in terms of diachronic and public perspective. In addition, it has a secondary purpose to cultivate thinking that allows readers to recognize the play more broadly through the process of exploring the aesthetic trends of the post-age that are distinct from conventional art.

배우와 관객은 동서고금을 막론하고 연극을 구성하는 필수요소로서 널리 인식되고 있다. 본 연구자는 ‘몸’과 ‘현상’으로 대변되는 이른바 ‘포스트’ 시대의 미학적 경향이 배우와 관객의 관계성 증진에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 고찰하였다. 먼저, 배우-관객의 관계 맺기 양상을 연기의 재현적･수행적 방식에 근거하여 개괄적으로 살펴보고, 관계성 증진과 관련하는 포스트 시대의 미학적 경향을 배우와 관객 각각의 관점에서 알아보았다. 몸은 바야흐로 예술계 전반을 아우르는 주요한 화두 중 하나이다. 현상학적 미학으로 생동하는 포스트 시대 배우의 몸을 본고에서 가교이자 가교적 행위라고 칭하며, 관객과의 관계성 증진에 미치는 영향이 무엇인지 탐구해보았다. 배우의 몸과 몸, 몸과 행위로부터 전이되는 육체적 감각이 인물과 극에 대해 이성적으로 사유하기 이전에 관객을 지속적으로 자극하고 있음을 시대적 맥락 안에서 논구하고자 했다. 관객은 배우의 몸과 행위로부터 생성되는 포스트드라마적 ‘사이’에 더 많이 개입하게 되었으며, 사이는 관객으로 하여금 감상의 영역에서 벗어나 융복합적 지각체계를 동시다발적으로 작동하여 극에 개입하도록 만드는 공동생산의 거점으로 기능하게 되었다. 관람 행위가 인물로서의 기호학적 몸을 읽어내는 피동적 수용이 아닌, 기의와 기표를 오가며 지각하고 해석하는 능동적 과정으로 변환된 것이다. 이상의 연구를 통해 몸의 가교적 특성과 그 사이에서 작동하는 관객의 융복합적 지각체계가 포스트 시대 배우와 관객의 관계성 증진에 영향을 미친다는 사실을 확인할 수 있었다. 다만, 본 연구는 연구자의 경험 사례가 아닌 기존 자료를 토대로 논증하는 이론적 성격을 띠므로 실증적 측면에 있어서는 한계를 지닌다. 이 글이 포스트 시대의 미학과 관련하여 배우와 관객의 관계성을 다시금 고찰하고, 새로운 관계 맺기의 가능성을 타진할 수 있는 또 하나의 지표가 되기를 기대한다.
