The goal of the moral subject is to become a moral human being through the cultivation of morality. In the 2022 revised moral subject curriculum, the phrase “the meaning of life” is used a total of 22 times. In the main text, the periods of human life are divided chronologically, starting from the fetus until birth, youth, and young adulthood. This paper anthropologically reflects on the meaning of life and ethical pedagogical tasks in each period. The paper will have as its basis on the reflections of Romano Guardini and utilize cultural traditions and the life stories of several figures. In conclusion, it is to be briefly discussed what educators should keep in mind when teaching the growing generation as spiritual person.

도덕 윤리 교과는 학생이 자신의 삶의 의미를 탐구, 성찰, 실천하도 록 돕는 교과이다. 2022 개정 도덕과 교육과정에는 “삶의 의미”라는 구절이 모두 22회 사용되고 있다. 이에 본 연구자는 삶의 의미에 관한 성찰을 시도해보고자 한다. 이를 위해 본론에서는, 인간의 삶의 시기를 나라는 존재가 이 세상에 등장하는 순간인 수정부터 시작하여 출생까 지의 시기, 청소년 시기, 청년 시기 순서로 구분하고, 각 시기의 삶의 의미를 인간학적으로 성찰하면서 윤리학적, 교육학적 과제를 살펴보고 자 한다. 이 과정에서 로마노 과르디니(Romano Guardini)의 성찰에 도 움받으면서, 동서양의 문화적 전통과 몇몇 인물의 실제 삶의 서사를 활용할 것이다. 결론에서는 정신적 인격 존재로서 성장 중에 있는 세 대를 가르치는 교육자가 유의할 점에 관해 간략히 논의할 것이다.
