- This study analyzed the spatial and constructive characteristics by selecting which is remaining original shapes from a row house ‘Ilryol’ of Refuse Dwellings located in Uam-dong, Busan. The space for one household's residence is estimated to be 15m2 in land area and 12.24m2 in construction area, and later, damage such as cutting structural members occurred in the process of extending the loft due to demand for family space. There was a side extension that occupied the road for both side households in one building, and there was also a type of space extension that combined the two households. The roof structure of row house ‘Ilryol’ used standardized original wood as it was the main structure, but in terms of structural rationality, it seems that it was designed and built uniformly by refugees and residents with knowledge in the construction industry, although there is no structural knowledge. The wood was mainly made of North American Douglas fur, and there is a high possibility of construction materials by aid at the time.
