This study is a study that unravels their stories through narrative exploration with two prospective elementary school teachers who were eliminated in the middle due to maladjustment to college life at the University of Education and then returned to school. In addition, their stories were analyzed insightfully through cause chain analysis, and their stories are as follows. First, in high school, regardless of aptitude or will, he applied for medical school at the recommendation of others, but after failing the CSAT, he entered the shift with the feeling of "chicken instead of pheasant." Second, he entered the shift, but dropped out due to wandering due to lingering feelings about medical school and maladjustment to college life, and then tried again for the CSAT as a refuge. Third, after failing to retake the CSAT, the shift was recognized as a "pheasant instead of a chicken" and returned to school as there was no regret for medical school. Fourth, in college life after returning to school, I tried to live like other shift students. At the turning point were tutoring and educational practice programs, and sports club activities remained a task to overcome. Fifth, the opportunity to overcome the passive and introverted personality was a badminton class consisting of a cooperative learning TGT structure, and through this, it was overcome. Finally, I hoped to be a teacher who passed the appointment examination and found the meaning of life and educational life as a teacher who grows students in the future. The study participants dropped out because the opportunity to enter the shift was far from their belief in education or a sense of calling to the teaching profession, but ironically, they returned to school due to the professional stability and professionalism. Therefore, it is necessary to actively apply programs (education practice, comparison and experience programs, etc.) from the first grade to prevent students in similar situations from wasting time and money, and to encourage active participation in autonomous activities such as sports clubs. In pursuit research, various types of research are needed on the process of them growing into good teachers, and in particular, research on shift students' perception of the reorganization of the teacher training system, which has recently become a social issue.

본 연구는 교육대학교 대학생활 부적응으로 중도에 탈락한 후 다시 복학을 경험한 초등 예비교사 2명의 이야기 를 내러티브 탐구로 풀어낸 연구이다. 또한 이들의 이야기를 원인 연쇄 분석으로 통찰적으로 분석한 이야기는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 고등학교 시절에 적성이나 의지와는 상관없이 주변의 권유로 의대를 지망했으나 수능에 실패 한 후 교대에 입학했다. 둘째, 교대에 입학은 하였으나 의대에 대한 미련으로 인한 방황 및 대학생활 부적응으로 자퇴를 한 후 도피처 삼아 수능에 재도전하였다. 셋째, 수능 재도전에서도 실패한 후 의대에 대한 미련이 없어지 자 교대에 복학하였다. 넷째, 복학 후 다른 교대생처럼 생활하기 위해 노력하였고, 그 전환점에는 과외와 교육실 습 프로그램이 있었으며, 스포츠동아리 활동은 여전히 극복해야 할 과제로 남았다. 다섯째, 소극적이고 내성적인 성격을 극복한 계기는 협동학습 TGT 구조 수업이었고, 장차 임용고시에 합격하여 학생들을 성장시키는 교사로 서의 삶 및 교육적인 삶의 의미를 찾는 교사를 희망하였다. 이를 바탕으로 후속 연구에서는 이들과 비슷한 처지 에 있는 예비교사들이 좋은 교사로 성장하는 과정에 대한 다양한 유형의 연구가 필요하며, 특히 최근 사회적으 로 이슈가 되고 있는 교원양성체제 개편에 대한 교대생의 인식 등에 대한 연구가 요구된다.
