Purpose : The main objective of this study is to estimate the impact of export insurance on export promotion using regional panel data in China. Research design, data, methodology : This study constructed a research model using the export supply function approach and the export demand function approach. Then annual panel data from 25 regions in China were collected from 2018 to 2022, and panel analysis was conducted based on this data set. Results : The results of the estimation using three panel data analysis methods are summarized as follows. First, China's regional GDP and population size are important explanatory factors for regional export volume fluctuations. This result is found in all three panel analysis methods. Second, export credit insurance in China has an export promotion effect. Since this estimation result appears only in the Pooled OLS estimation, the regional heterogeneity of this effect is estimated to be insignificant. Third, the effects of demand factors such as trading partners’ income, world income, or export volume on the fluctuations on China's regional export volume are statistically insignificant Conclusions : To summarize the results of this empirical analysis, export credit insurance has an export promotion effect in China's regional economy. However, there is no significant difference in this promotion effect by region. This is because, like other countries, export insurance in China is operated by government agencies. Therefore, export promotion through export credit insurance is one of China's important export strategies. These research results provide meaningful results for research on the effectiveness of export insurance in China, and also provide meaningful implications for the efficient operation of export insurance and future research in Korea.

본 연구는 중국 지역별 패널자료를 이용하여 중국 수출신용보험의 수출촉진효과를 실증적으 로 분석하였다. 수출함수를 기반으로 기초연구모형과 최종연구모형을 수립하고, 실증분석을 위해 2018년부터 2022년까지 중국 25개 지역의 연간 패널자료를 수집하였다. 이를 바탕으로 대표적인 패널자료 분석방법을 이용하여 추정한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중국의 지역 GDP와 인구규모는 지역 수출량 변동에 대한 중요한 설명요인이다. 이러한 추정 결과는 세 가지 패널 분석방법에서 모두 동일하게 발견된다. 둘째, 중국의 지역별 자료에서 수출신용 보험은 수출촉진효과가 있다. 이러한 추정결과는 통합OLS 추정에서만 나타난다. 따라서 수출 촉진효과에서 지역별 이질성의 영향은 크지 않을 것으로 추정된다. 셋째, 세계소득이나 교역 상대국 국민소득과 교역상대국 수입액과 같은 해외수요요인이 중국의 지역별 수출량 변동에 미치는 영향은 통계적으로 유의하지 않다. 이는 중국의 지역 수출량이 중국의 국내 공급요인 의 영향을 더 많이 받는다는 것을 의미한다. 결론적으로, 수출신용보험을 통한 수출 진흥은 중국의 중요한 수출전략 중 하나이다. 특히 수출신용보험은 중국 지역경제에서 수출촉진효과 를 가지고 있다. 그러나 이러한 효과에서 지역별 유의한 차이는 없다. 이는 다른 나라와 마찬 가지로 중국의 수출보험제도가 중앙정부기관에서 운영되기 때문이다. 이러한 연구내용은 중 국내 수출보험의 효과성을 뒷받침하는 근거를 제시하는 동시에, 우리나라 수출보험의 효율적 운영과 미래연구에도 중요한 시사점을 제공한다.
