This study attempted to develop a smartwear design for the new senior generation to improve the physical function of the new senior generation by applying the characteristics of the Joseon Dynasty baeja. The baeja excavated from Dongnae Jeong Clan in the middle of the Joseon Dynasty was used as a design item, and the research method was a literature review and smart clothing design using the 3D CLO Virtual Fashion program. Baeja of the Joseon Dynasty is a costume worn over a Jeogori or Po, and it appears in various ways depending on the composition and purpose. Among these Joseon Dynasty baeja, a baeja excavated from Dongnae Jeong Clan was selected as a design item for the interior of a fall detection airbag belt. Smartwear design that applies the morphological characteristics of the baeja excavated from Dongnae Jeong Clan can represent a traditional image and create a calm and stylish atmosphere. Instead of the traditional method, the strap is designed practically by attaching a zipper so that seniors can wear it easily and quickly. A fall detection airbag belt was built into the bottom of the baeja to detect and discriminate against slipping or falling of the wearer and apply the airbag as a smartwear design that operates by itself. This smartwear design can be said to be a smart function that can prevent falls accidents that can often occur in seniors' daily lives or on snow in winter. In particular, the fall detection smart belt may not be familiar to seniors to wear alone, but if it is built into a traditional Baeja, it will be able to solve the unfamiliarity of the device or the difficulty of using it.

본 연구는 뉴시니어 세대를 위하여 조선시대 배자의 특징을 적용한 뉴시니어 세 대의 신체적 기능 향상을 위한 스마트웨어 디자인을 개발하고자 하였다. 조선시대 중 기 동래정씨 출토 배자를 디자인 아이템으로 활용하였으며, 연구방법은 문헌고찰과 3D CLO Virtual Fashion 프로그램을 활용한 스마트의류 디자인 개발을 하였다. 조선시대 배자는 저고리나 포 위에 겹쳐 입는 복식으로 구성법이나 용도에 따라 다양하게 나타난다. 이러한 조선시대 배자 중에 낙상 감지 에어백 벨트 내장을 위한 디 자인 아이템으로 동래정씨 출토 배자를 선정하였다. 동래정씨 출토 배자의 형태적 특 징을 적용한 스마트웨어 디자인은 전통적인 이미지를 나타내고 차분하고 멋스러운 분 위기를 연출할 수 있다. 끈으로 여미는 전통 방식 대신 시니어가 쉽고 빠르게 착용할 수 있도록 지퍼를 달아 실용적으로 디자인하였다. 배자의 밑단에는 낙상 감지 에어백 벨트를 내장하여 착용자의 미끄러짐이나 낙상을 감지 및 판별하여 에어백을 스스로 작 동시키는 스마트웨어 디자인으로 적용하였다. 이러한 스마트웨어 디자인은 시니어의 일상생활이나 겨울철 눈길에서 흔히 일어 날 수 있는 낙상 사고를 예방할 수 있는 스마트 기능이라고 할 수 있다. 특히 낙상 감 지 스마트벨트는 시니어가 단독으로 착용하기에 익숙하지 않을 수 있지만 전통 배자에 내장하여 사용한다면 기기에 대한 낯설음이나 사용법의 어려움을 해소할 수 있을 것이 다.
