This study was to explore the structural relationships among perceived parental psychological control and autonomy support, socially prescribed perfectionism, smartphone overdependence, and academic helplessness in Chinese college students. A total of 477 students from a university in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province, China, were analyzed. The results showed that male students showed higher levels of maternal psychological control and socially prescribed perfectionism compared to female students. Additionally, it was found that socially prescribed perfectionism and smartphone overdependence fully dual-mediated the relationship between perceived parental psychological control and academic helplessness. Conversely, perceived parental autonomy support had a direct negative effect on academic helplessness, and also indirectly influenced it through socially prescribed perfectionism and smartphone overdependence, indicating a partial dual mediation. These findings provide important insights for developing strategies to alleviate academic helplessness in Chinese college students.

본 연구에서는 중국 대학생을 대상으로 학생들이 지각한 부모의 심리적 통제, 자율 성 지지, 사회부과적 완벽주의, 스마트폰 과의존 및 학업 무기력 간의 구조적 관계를 탐 색해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 중국 장쑤성(江苏省) 전장시(镇江市)에 소재한 대학교 재학생 총 477명을 최종 분석 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구결과, 남학생들은 여학생에 비 해 모(母)의 심리적 통제와 사회부과적 완벽주의가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 중국 대학생들이 지각한 부모의 심리적 통제와 학업 무기력 간의 관계에서 사회부과적 완벽 주의와 스마트폰 과의존이 완전 이중매개 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 중국 대학생 들이 지각한 부모의 자율성 지지는 학업 무기력에 직접적으로 부정적인 영향을 미치기 도 하지만, 사회부과적 완벽주의와 스마트폰 과의존을 거쳐 학업 무기력에 간접적으로 영향을 끼치기도 하는 것으로 나타나, 부모의 자율성 지지와 학업무기력 간의 관계에 서 사회부과적 완벽주의와 스마트폰 과의존이 부분 이중매개 역할을 하는 것으로 확인 되었다. 본 연구결과는 중국 대학생들의 학업 무기력을 완화하기 위한 방안을 모색하 는 데 있어 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
